The Hummer H2 was also build by A.M General Corporation in collaboration with General Motors, it also had strong chassis and a body second only to the H1 Hummer. H2 front portion was build with pedestrian safety and smaller vehicle safety in mind (Crumple Zones) that’s why some people (Stupid) say it’s soft, make no mistake Hummer H2 was a Strong Powerful vehicle powered by 6.0 Liter 323bhp & 6.2 Liter 393bhp V8 Gasoline Engines. I don't understand why they went with a 1500 frame in the back. It was 3/4 ton all the way to that and then they skimped the last few feet. I think the midsection wasn't all new. It was basically a shortened 2500 frame to fit the shorter wheelbase. You can see all the welds. It's a nice frame, just wish it was 3/4 ton all the way to the back.
I was actually walking on a beach on Vancouver island, Tofino when we cam across the shots of the guy setting up his kite for the kite surfing on the beach. It was kinda weird that we stumbled upon it.
Mr environmentalist , Hummer is the best civilian vehicle ever. If the problem is just gas consumption, there was electrical one. one gallon 1000 miles. The same power and capability. 5 tanks a year. who can beat it. I have 2007 Hummer H3 and it burns gas between 9.5 to 15.5 liters in 100 kilometers with Micheline tire. The same as minivan and less than pick up truck and even some cars. Sadly it was discontinue.

The H2 (13.5 city & 16 Highway) & H3 (14 City & 18 Highway) had really good gas millage compared to other high end cars and sports cars, the H1 had a decent gas millage for its kind, 11.5 mpg for a 4.5 ton truck is amazing. Stop hating for no reason.
People are always on the Hummer's ass for supposedly killing the earth, but what these sad, deluded individuals fail to realize is that the hybrid vehicles they champion are, in many ways, worse for the earth than traditional vehicles. The amount of toxic materials required to produce a battery for a hybrid car, the amount of material that needs to be shipped around the world to produce a hybrid car, the amount of energy required and waste that results from disposing of hybrid cars when the battery fails in five years... I'm not saying that buying a Hummer is good for the earth, Jesus God no. What I am saying is a conventional car, like say a nice Malibu or something along those lines is endlessly better for our planet than a toxic time bomb on wheels.
