    We have one of those machines and it took some adapting the hoses for the claw . They are too soft and light so we bought some of the old type cups with the heavier black hoses. The machine works but a bit slow. It doesnt like any cold weather though and we have to put a light over it. I would hand milk but our cows teats are very short.

      I would like to see how the hose that goes from the pulsator to the bucket is connected as well as the one that goes to the gauage, I got all hoses connected but for some reason the machine is not holding pressure even with 4 liners blocked, it's a new machine and I'm not sure if something is wrong with the pulsator or it's just wrong hose connections, it would be nice if you could demonstrate how to test the pulsator for pressure

    Did anyone else have problems with the milk tasting like the hoses smell. We have had to throw out all the milk we've run through the Milker. It all tasted like rubber hose. We've run vinegar through it and we washed everything before it was used. If it doesn't clear up, is there somewhere we can purchase new hoses

    I milk 5 gal by hand in 15 min with my fam cow. I also milk 200 cows 6 days a week with a modern milk system.
    I have no issues hand milking I'm fast been doing it years. But at 43 I'm looking to the future and I want to save my Joints. I'd like to be miking into my 70s and don't want Arthritis. So I'm buying a milk machine. But I also am starting my own Micro Diary to ad to my CSA and Meats. So I'm buying a michin for use up yo 10 cows.

      @@TheMacs1 thanks much. Those worked beautifully. I'd tried to build a something out of pvc caps but they didn't seal well enough to to build a decent vacuum. Tonight I had the oddest thing happen. It worked great yesterday and tonight I flipped it on and it wasn't sucking. It wasn't just that it was building vacuum, but the pump wasn't sucking at all. I ran from end to end and couldn't find a leak. I put the caps in and there was actually enough pressure building that it blew them out. It's almost like it was running backwards. Oddest thing. I just had to walk away. Try and figure it out tomorrow.

    • @TheMacs1
      @TheMacs1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes sounds like the hoses are crossed and building back pressure. Make sure your belt isn’t shipping also. If hoses are correct, than check under your middle cap, make sure the o ring is on good and the ball bearing is in good shape. You may need to apply a tad of oil on that ball bearing to help it go up and down to pull a suction. You have a gasket on your pump too, make sure it hasn’t come undone or loosened in anyway.

    • @darinries1740
      @darinries1740 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheMacs1 Yep. Hoses were all fine, I wish I had seen your reply a few hours earlier though. I finally narrowed it down to the ball bearing in the lid. It was stuck pretty good. Why on earth they didn't use a stainless one is beyond me.
      I'm noticing that the pump is generally slowing down now that I have it fixed and going again. I added oil to the crankcase. Have to try greasing the piston next.
      Where did you find the O-rings? I've been looking for one to have ready for when I need it. Also, are you oiling the vacuum cylinder at all?
