Received my first bottle of Dom Perignon yesterday for my birthday. My friend didn't tell me exactly what she paid but it was well over two hundred dollars and possibly three hundred. I'm waiting for just the right time to drink it.
I've Always Loved you Hayden Panettiere, I'll Always Love you Hayden Panettiere. Happy Anniversary Hayden Leslie Panettiere on December 26TH, 2024 with Everything Love, Your's Always Loveingly Faithfully Forever, Neal Patrick Fry from Detroit, Michigan.
I was blessed that 2021 was a good year for me. Bought 2 bottles of Veuve Clicquot and a bottle of Dom Perignon for my wife and the in-laws. The Dom was everyone’s favorite.
Enjoyed a bottle of '96 tonight after having '02 last night. Used my stimulus check, glad I could help stimulate our economy, it was in need of being stimulated.
Personally I think one of the main reasons for it still being so relevant is the short but iconic conversation about Vintages that James Bond has with Dr No. Since Coversations about Product Placements tend to be rather rare and every James Bond Fan eventually ends up watching the whole series the myth is continously planted into the minds of impressionable young viewers, like me when i was around 10 years old. The only other Alcohol i can think of that managed to be featured similarily memorable in Movies is the famous Chateau Cheval Blanc (Sideways, Bottle Shock).
@@macshild To be honest, I couldn't tell much difference between a $300 bottle of DP and a $30 bottle of champagne. It's not that special, you're pretty much just forking out hundreds of dollars for an image. Plenty of sparkling wines in the $20-40 range are just as good if not sometimes better. At best, particular vintages or bottles of these super expensive labels can have hints of flavour to them that you can't really find much of in most other sparkling wines...but your guest never notice or care and it's so subtle it's barely worth paying anything extra for, let alone hundreds of dollars a bottle. I once left a plastic screw cap half bottle of the cheapest Italian sparkling wine from the supermarket in the back of my fridge for over a month. When I finally decided to get rid of it and took a reluctant sip, I was really surprised to find it tasted totally different to the previous one that had been really acidic and harsh. Suddenly it was soft, moussey and delicate - nothing to write home about, but a radical change and very pleasant suddenly. That was the first moment I began really paying attention to these expensive sparkling wines/champagnes and what was really different or special about any of them. Turns out, I was blinded by images and ideas of complexity of flavours and prestige etc. One bottle of Bollinger NV can taste really different to the next, temperature an radically change taste, the extra subtleties and flavours you might find in really expensive bottles are ultimately nowhere near worth paying for and most of the time guests you will spoil with expensive wines never notice any difference.
Thanks for your incredible work, dear Alux! Every video has a very interesting & informative format. Would be great to learn more about the wine industry as well..

Though it's French produce. So you only paid some tax on it to your own economy while mainly helping the French economy.

This is all is used to drink, the bubbles. I had to stop drinking it cause it was a little to bitter, I like sugar. So I drink White Star Moet now.
Over 5 million per vintage compared to 600k for cristal
hate dry champagne!
what if lvmh sells soda with the same brand and compete coca cola and pepsi?
been there drank a ton switched to Prosecco , champagne is too heavy for me
