I went down that same path reading all the stuff talking to all my friends and then... my boy became a teenager OMG nothing I ever read or my friends prepared me for this season. Thank you for confirming that it's okay to let go of the guilt that I am not a "good enough mother_ because my son no longer wishes to go to church or watch Pastor Steve as we're part of the EFAM. THIS WAS SO FREEING FOR ME…Jesus knew I desperately needed to hear that even as a single mom of 3, raising my kids in Christ isn’t on my shoulders, but only to be in relation with Him….🙌🏻 wooooo!! My mom was diagnosed with cancer Sept 2019, and passed away May 2020. I’m not close with my dad and my kid’s dad doesn’t really know Jesus; my mom was my rock, in that, we were very close, she was THE best mom and grandmother, but that she loves Jesus and knew His Word. Since her diagnosis and quick passing, it’s just felt like time is racing by and I’m scattered and floundering….adding Devo and communion to our morning routine-basically “adding more Jesus” to fast-forward healing the giant loss of my mom….I put an overwhelming amount of pressure on myself the last couple years, I completely forgot that God promised to add all these things unto me if I just put Him first. So thank you, your words helped me so much 💚
