    Grazie. I have really enjoyed your tour of Florence. Thank you for the great narration, so easy to follow and just enough information. You have shown a few things I have not seen yet in my two trips to Florence. These will definitely be on my to-do list when I am there next spring. It will be interesting to see what the "new normal" will look like in 2022. Some things don't change, the beauty of Italy and all the historic treasures, amazing food and its people have been there for centuries and shall be there for many more. Bella Italia!

      Everything booked for my return to Italy in spring 2022. First, 2 weeks in Florence, so excited to add these things to my to-do list, while many of these I have done or seen, several I have not. Always love to find something new. Then a month in Venice part of an art residency. So excited to be spending so much time in Italy on this trip. From armchair tours to being there, oh yeah!!!!!!! Of course there are a few other places I would recommend, if you are going to take the walk to the Piazzale Michelangelo walk a little further up to the Abbazia di San Miniato al Monte, if you are lucky you might be there when they have a choir practice. They also post the times when the monks are doing the Gregorian Chants. The other place to see is the Marcato Centrale. The sites, the sounds and the smells of the market are amazing. Upstairs is a food court with a number of restaurants and a cooking school. Yum from one end to the other. So much to see and do in Florence, and don't forget about the day trips by tour bus to places like Siena, Arezzo, Pisa, Luca... Enjoy the culture, the art, the architecture, the food, the language, the people of Italy. Ciao.

    Hi Max! Did you have to book the tickets for each museum or you just got the tickets there? I know that usually you should book, at least for Uffizi and the Accademia; however, they look quite empty in your video. I am asking cause I am planning to go there in 2 weeks, and if I can I would avoid as much as possible to online booking beforehand since you never know how things will evolve with Covid...

    • @maxnomadtravel
      @maxnomadtravel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Francesco, in Florence I did not book any tickets in advance. Since there were very few visitors I just bought them directly at the entrance of the museums. The only thing that I couldn't visit because I didn't have a reservation was the campanile of il Duomo. I would recommend a reservation for it maybe 2 weeks in advance since it apparently sells out very fast.

      It really depends, Milan and Florence are very different. Milan is your typical european city, very big and populated, expensive and fashion-centered. Of course there are beautiful monuments but not as much as in Florence. Our Firenze (I'll use the italian name) is literally the capital of classical italian art and you won't find anything better than that if you want to lose yourself in 500 yo trip. It's a small town, compared to Milan, food is different as well.
      Oh, I'm not from Florence, I'm actually sicilian so I wouldn't say that I'm biased or anything :D
