listen up buddy you are amazing nobody literally nobody tells their secret yo are doing it you are the best . this is the first time I am commenting on any video in 2020
Great Photo! The best lesson to learn from this is that the better the shot "in camera" the less work you'll have to do later. I really need to get a strobe asap! Still using speedlights.
Definitely one of the best tutorials I've come across. Thank you for sharing! I've subscribed and will continue to check out your work. All the best from NYC!
I don't understand how I never came across any of your videos before but I'm just glad I did 2 days ago....you are simply AMAZING. I already subscribed and bought last night your actions pack which I can't wait to start learning from (video included) and applying to my work. Thank you Eli for sharing TODO EL PEDO 😄
Love your Chanel bro I’m buying your actions tonight , hopefully they help me get better at photoshop an retouching my portraits , thanks for al of the tutorials on TH-cam there great
I am familiar with the techniques but this will be a good refresher because I don't usually use FS. Thank you for the RAW file for practice. Much appreciated!
There're lots of golden pieces of info here, from the catch lights workflow to the selective color as a luminosity adjustment. Goes a long way to demonstrate out possibilities are endless once we understand how stuff works in PS. Thanks a lot for sharing your workflow.
Hello Eli great tutorial. I wonder for example if I want to retouch Hair/Eyes/Teeth where do I do it at the end of all techniques applied(FS,D&B, Color Grade) or at the beginning?
Hi, I have a question. Recently I realized that when I work on my pictures the whole image seems like it is some kind of hazy? Like it was mist over he picture and is not clear. Why can that be?
Excellent tutorials Eli...much appreciate the time and effort you put into making these videos...could you please let me know which laptop you use for editing your photos and videos...i guess you use a dedicated screen/monitor connected to a laptop...it would be great if you could share some info regarding your laptop for on the go editing stuff...thanks...
Hey man I love your work! I downloaded the actions, and am following along, when I get to the frequency separation and trying to get rid of the hair flyaways, when I use the clone stamp tool it removes the color and I get a white background where I use the clone stamp tool... you said "whats cool about doing it this way is that I'm not manipulating the color because I've separated it with the radius at the beginning" am I missing a step?
Eli, I'm really looking forward to diving in! I've downloaded your frequency separation action and downloaded the picture in the link but it was not the same picture you use in the tutorial. The link is of an out take of the same shoot but the image is dark and the model is looking up and to our left instead of at the camera. I may be missing something but was hoping to follow along with your actions. Thanks!
Hey Mark it was intentional for me to put a different RAW file. I want you guys to learn how to apply your own knowledge do I different photo. Thanks for the feedback :)
what is that 'RAW VATO LOCO', when i apply camera raw filter in a smart object, it actually superimpose the picture, so that dodge and burn and HS is all useless. CAn any one help me out
Frequency seperation is a powerful tool, however sometimes people use it and overpower the image. I shoot portraits on my channel and try to use it sparingly. Nice vid
@@EliInfante Wow! 5 minutes. Can you please share that in a video? Normally what I get is that, client expect to have the same quality they see in your personal work.

Hi Eli! Great video and work. My question for you is....Do you think a lot of this is unnecessary? Also can many of thiese things be accomplished in Lightroom as well?
@@tgmedias yes of course. It doesnt depend on the camera, it depends mostly on lighting. Of course the field of View of your lens will be different, but you can get really good Pictures with that lens! Just get a nice softbox and strobe and you are ready to Go. I have a slow internet connection at the moment so I was trying to download your video and watch it later, but it was shocking to me the file size was insanely low, the full 40 minute video in 1080p was around 130 Megabytes, how is that possible?
You mentioned doing a dodge and burn action tutorial after spring break. If you're like most of us, your world was turned upside down by COVID-19. When can we expect the tutorial to be recorded? I was trying to follow along and got lost with the D & B portion. Thanks for the image to practice on. :)
Glad you selected the patch tool. How about you zoom in on the screen and show us where the patch tool is? This is a tutorial, so don't assume everybody immediately knows where every tool is or what it looks like. You're glossing over too quickly, and by not zooming in on the screen in any way, it's easy to quickly become lost when following or trying to follow.
Finally someone who actually helps rather than try to sell some stuff and talk expert editing to beginners
Appreciate that comment Marvin! That's my goal with this series. I have other videos that are meant for beginners :)

Totally man! I always recommend lowering the opacity of the frequency separation layer.
Could you do all this in Capture One?
Maybe but it easier with Photoshop
