Hi, one issue intrigues me: why do dogs have such hairy ears? Is it a special breed variation? I'm looking for a Welsh Terrier, and everywhere they have short hair
Hi, most of welshes and Airedales have curly hair naturally if you don’t trim and groom often. My dogs hair is straight and fluffy right after taking a bath and grooming. Take a look welshes on Instagram there are many curly hair welshes and Airedales. Hope my answer is helpful.
The ears are shaved when they get groomed... My Welsh and I live in a warm climate ( Florida) so I have him groomed regularly... When I lived in a colder climate I would let the dogs hair bush out...
My welsh gets like that between grooms, I have Gus done every 6 weeks and by week 5 he is fuzzy. I am in the northwest so it works for here, I would do a groom every 4 weeks in a warmer climate.
