I think when u matchup with Blackbeard I think it 60-40 cuz they can clear ur board and off ur on play in the Jin bae curve and they have a lot card that can refill hand when use leader tech
I think Bb stomps doffy pretty hard cause of the on play negation. You lose out on key card effects such as jimbe’s due to it and you wont be able to flood the board so easily.
Dropping a card every turn isn’t viable you lose resources. You time your jinbe play and you still build your board faster than BB with leader’s effect
@@ytnoach but if he sets up board before you can its kind of mute, the effect enables him to stall doffy until he gets into turns where he can drop his big monsters such as Bb character and his other good cards
@dimmebucker augur and doc are slow and don't give advantage. They merely replace themselves. Thats something, but it also won't let you use black vortex more than a few times
nice had fun with this deck was hoping it would be good in 8.5 glad i just ordered the aa leader of him too gonna be great to play this end october when new starters are out
sorry, what's the reasoning behind saying doffy crashes blackbeard this bad? if your on play effects get negated, you can't rearrange your top deck, use pudding, kaido and all that stuff. you're only really left with a couple blockers, a few events, the leader effect and the law when attacking. I'm assuming you will have to play the 2 cost blackbeard, but it's also easy to remove for a black deck. am I missing something?
lot of people are talking about big thing for Doffy on OP 09 (Asia) and op08 (Occident). I think those people never played blue decks or they don´t unterstand the game. Doffy in his best day will be a top tier A deck. Is far from tier S and it can´t beat the black and red colors.
You just build your board faster than BB. You have removals for their board. Early game you’ll be spamming out characters. Time your on play effects correctly. They won’t have the resources to use his effect every turn
@@ytnoach your only tool to do that is jinbe at turn 2. That *spam* your talking about doesnt exist in early game without jinbe, and spam of poor effects with 5000 power at turn 4-5 is irrelevant without the pressure of the turns 2 and 3. Same for the high cost removal (raging tiger/red roc)
@@trafalgarlaw8373 you are investing 3 don on that play. That's strong just in the first turns, when you dont need to worry about the opponents characters.
Asia isn´t a good reference for the power of decks like Doffy, they play style is so conservative, so they give you time to build your board consistenly without loosing the game before. Same thing with RP Law there and here. I think we´ll have a solid low tier A deck, far from the tier S.
@@duelranger7147 Op03 Shiro doesnt being a problem, and poor performances of GP Doffy, Rebecca (op04) and RP Law in op07 meta's are enought evidences that those spam characters decks have better results in Asia. They have a different way of thinking their plays.
OP09 Shanks will be top 3 best decks in the meta. Read again Shanks support, OP09 Lucky Roux clears Doffys board, Yasopp makes the leader a 6k which is hard for Doffy to attack, 8c Rayleigh clears Doffys board and if you get into 10c Shanks -1k everything permanently it's too much. Shanks beats Doffy match up you need to read again the Shanks cards.
I really hope you make a comprehensive guide of blue Doffy for 8.5 and 9!!!

yessssss make a list
I was thinking of playing Blue doffy in the next couple months, do you think it's worth buying It now?
150%
I'm already played blue doffy...so far it can easily win with lucci...depend on the strategy..
it depents. If you want to play hard competitive... nah. If you want to be fun and sometimes top on locals, yeah, is one of the best options.
Doffy have a hard match up against removal enel becuz enel will not touch ur life and hit/ko ur characters
The matchup is defo not fun and shows the major flaw in one piece
I think Perona has an extremely good matchup against Doffy
Guide please. Thanks.
Tl:dr doffy best deck
