I recently started playing Blue Donflamingo, thank you for this very insightful video!! Currently I am trying to understand three things better: 1. When would you generall, bottom deck the stack? If you are trying to search for specific card pieces? 2. When are you wanting to leave characters as active rather than swinging with only their 5k and getting ur board nearly cleared next turn. 3. How hard do you need to commit for finding key cards like Boa and Jimbei. Are you trying to use every possability to search for it (Mihawk, Croc, Sengoku etc..)?
1. Yes exactly 2. Depends on current hand state, if you can't protect at least a 6-7k swing I'd probably keep stuff active to eat life 3. I would commit very hard for 6 don boa, Jinbe depends on how bad the rest of your stacks are. Against Lucci you hard commit for Jinbe, sengoku and reuse with law
Great video! Few questions: 1) When do you protect your unit you play from Leader effect? 2) When do you push for board control or progress game by going for life?
1) generally you always protect unless it's 2+ hand cards, or your board is full anyway so you can let go of one or 2 units for space 2) most times you're looking for board control especially if you can hit 6 into 5k bodies, against 6k bodies usually I'd ignore unless you also have 6k bodies to trade or they're important to kill like carrot or cavendish
Thank you for the great video really useful!! I wanted to ask since the going second curve is better can be an option cut the perona for maybe vanilla moria or some other cards?
Tbh i was waiting for your video on op 09 shanks and BB especially BB because the deck has interestinf concept but seems a bit difficult to handle. I'm curious about how you cook/handle the deck. As always i like your video because of the detail and gameplan that you give. Will be waiting for your next video
How do you feel about just dropping Perona and Sengoku, and making the deck be just 3-4 cost warlords+ buggy + perfume femur? you dont need to organize your deck if all hits work, and you get less dead draws from leader ability
@@hiroshishou Cutting those 8 and 6 cost boa means every doffy attack always summons a 5k+. In my version you basically have no removal, just infinite flooding. Due to moria, croc, leader and weevil you have infinite cards. They'll eventually run out of removal. Only thing i struggle with is lucci still, but teach and shanks are fine
Im learning this deck now in prep for 8.5 Im glad people dropped the 3c Blocker it always sucked to me. Is perona really necessary? Id think 4 buggys and Boas are fine enough? Why dont people play a Kaido anymore? 1 seems okay no?
Perona is still necessary to consistently hit a 1 don play, as well as the fact that it hits 5 instead of 3 being much better. Many feel kaidou isn't necessary in 09, as it doesn't really do as much in the mirror. i think you can still run 2 or 3 copies in an 08.5 list. Teach is ok, but not the best in a resource intensive battle (mirror) since you go -1 hand instead of neutral or + with leader effect.
hi new player here, could u help out on a question? for the law on play return 1 character to ur hand, could this law card that is just played be return to hand?
what about Marshall.D.Teach I am seeing him played a ton and his ability to basically trigger your leaders ability for 1 cost and get the card you want out in play
@@JakeHayes44 Agreed, and honestly Im running no Kaido but 2 of the 6 cost boa even those feel SO difficult to play at times because you have such more effective moves you can make. When you start playing top end and defensive like that with this deck you're likely losing anyways in my experience mainly vs Shanks and Purple Luffy and even sometimes BP luffy.
@@JdogMX5 I cut 6c boa even in op08 I think any top end in this deck your just hurting yourself. Kaido is just nice when you have a full board and want to counter super aggressively for a turn then replenish
Legitimately that mind games of asking "how many cards do have?" While having 4don with pudding or not is such great tip.
Very easy to stay at 5-6 cards in hand
Important strat carried over from 4c law and isshou xd
😂😂😂

I think you still want perona to make the first swing more consistent
what u think about teach and doffy 3c blocker? shouldn’t be part of this deck?
I don't think you need the blocker as of currently, but some builds are moving to teach now

Thank you! I've been cooking both decks and will make videos on them soon
@@hiroshishoucan’t wait for that BB deck. Love the character but I don’t understand the deck that well
How do you feel about just dropping Perona and Sengoku, and making the deck be just 3-4 cost warlords+ buggy + perfume femur? you dont need to organize your deck if all hits work, and you get less dead draws from leader ability
The deck is too reliant on Jinbe + 6don boa to cut sengoku/perona entirely

Thanks for the trick at the end!
The best 10 don turn in the entire game. No board to full board WITH a 7k swing
Best 10 don turn is 11k with usopp wdym 🤥😊
Ok can't say best in game because by Luffy exists

Can i ask why you are not playing the new blackbeard?
I didn't feel it was necessary but it looks like meta is shifting towards running it
would this be ok for 09 meta? i find it hard to counter purple luffy and shanks with their high cost characters
This deck is BDIF for 09, I think many people dropped the ST croc in favour of more vanilla but you can choose your preference!
In the doffy mirror, is there anyway the doffy going first can come back? it almost feels like they are severely behind
It's very reliant on using the 4c law and 4c Moria to cycle your Jinbe/weevil to maintain hand size
Perfect 9 don turn: jinbe into boa twice and leader ability 😂
You laugh but I've been hit by this before...
hi new player here, could u help out on a question? for the law on play return 1 character to ur hand, could this law card that is just played be return to hand?
st17-002
Yes it can return itself!
How much would you say this deck would cost to build? All low rarities
it should be
@@hiroshishou Ahh that's awesome! When you say two starters do you mean buying two starter decks? Also what is CU
Where do you get those don cards?
They come out in prb01
Hancock should have been printed with 5k power, not 6k. Card is nuts
Agreed tbh
what about Marshall.D.Teach I am seeing him played a ton and his ability to basically trigger your leaders ability for 1 cost and get the card you want out in play
Some decks have been shifting towards it recently!
Yes let's go!
Manipulating your Don to remember your draws is so close to marking cards. They gotta ban that at some point honestly
Honestly I don’t understand this, can you explain?
I've been using this trick for awhile now, it's fine imo
Playing this deck since EB or not, I need a new guide, the deck plays so different staring 8.5
hope this helped you 🙏
I would smoke this deck 😂
In summary Jimbe best card in deck 😂
Completely removing top end is interesting
You could still run boa or Kaidou but I personally don't see the need for them
Consistently swarming the board is the win condition. "Quantity over quality"
I tech in 1 10c kaido anything else is overkill. This deck thrives on the 4c engine and is a true swarm mentality.
