Hi Cristi, your video was very helpful. I now know how I can create a video for TH-cam and then change the canvas to repurpose the video for Intstagram. Thank You.
Wonderful! Thank you for your feedback! Let me know if you have other questions, or feel free to join my Camtasia Help group where I personally provide assistance: cotovan.com/group
Hey Cristi can you do a video (maybe a short one) on the difference between saving library assets to canvas vs. visible? And when you want to use which.
Sure! I usually save with canvas size. This way they ate located in the same place when reused as opposed to just being regular objects with no position. Canvas size is best for titles, transitions, lower thirds etc.- things you always want in the same place and same size every time
@@Graphicious That makes a ton of sense. Let me ask you when I save to visible size and then try to move elements within the asset away from the center it starts to disappear. When you save something as the visible size does it constrain the boundaries on the video where it will be visible?
@@TradersLanding when it gets cut off like that, right click on it and say resize group - to canvas size. It is a problem with Camtasia that seems not to have been fixed in 2021. I have a video about it
@@Graphicious I must have missed that one. Thanks for the tip! I have one more question, is there a way to enable the mouse wheel to zoom in and out on the timeline? I am on Mac, so I am not sure if it is feasible.
Cristi -- what about simultaneously cropping and repositioning the video, the way Google does about 0:07 into this video: th-cam.com/video/y-xopqwEe3I/w-d-xo.html
Yes, you can do that. And now they animate the crop and the position of the cropped video inside the cropped area. Anyway, I teach this entire thing in this video: th-cam.com/video/aVXuy-Lkcoc/w-d-xo.html
Buying or upgrading Camtasia? Using this link, you also support my channel. Thank you!

@@TradersLanding does Cmd and scroll not zoom in and out on Mac? That is what I use on windows. And shift for scrolling sideways
