- Soooo...confession. I never understood what to think of cubism. I was like...yeah its cool or whatever, but that was it. After trying it myself. My opinion may have changed. 😱 The next time i'm lucky enough to stand in front of a Picasso, i might pay more attention to it and see it with fresh eyes.

I about had a heart attack my 6 year old screamed moooooommm!!! I ran upstairs and was like omg what’s wrong?!?! She goes got grab your scrawlrbox with the bag paint waffles posted a video and it’s painting tiiiiiiiimmmmmme lol she’s such a mini me! So thank you so much Rin for giving us our weekly art time together I love spending time with her and watching her creative mind just explode on an art piece!!!! I don't know If anyone else has made this video suggestion. But I was looking at your old sketchbook tours for you know INSPIRATION. To the point, you said you were planning out drawing all the Disney princesses in one big picture and making them look their age. I just think that would be the greatest idea.

my art experience in a sentence
Back in the early 90s I met Nina Paley at a comic con in San Diego, California. She autographed my book with a cubist gal in pieces. She wrote, "I'm thrilled to pieces," under the picture. It is still one of my all time faves. Check her out. She is doing animation these days and I love her.
I absolutely love the end product! Never understood nor appreciated cubism myself, but this definitely made me change a bit. I love how Rin made it "hers", mixing cubism with her own art style, resulting in a somewhat more realistic cubism? I don't know much about art but this is an awesome interpretation!

I love how willing and excited you are about trying new things, it's extremely encouraging, both to also find excitement and inspiration in my own art, but also to be open minded and open hearted to doing things that are different, and being okay with not doing perfect on a first try, and still enjoy it even when it's not exactly what you wanted. I'm a very anxious and perfectionistic person, so even getting up the courage to do linework on a drawing, never mind paint it, when I'm not super sure that a sketch is good enough to commit to, or when I know I might permanently mess up the good sketch because I don't practice those skills, it can get hard sometimes to take those steps out of the box. Seeing you doing it and finding it so interesting is nice

I think you'd really enjoy trying out analytical cubism, it's a precursor to the kind of cubism you painted here. With analytical you draw the same subject but from multiple points of view at once.

It’s been awhile since I’ve actually watched your videos. I don’t know why, but I hadn’t been doing too much drawing outside of digital art. But I’m glad I did watch this today because it definitely motivated me to get out my markers and create something. Now to binge all those videos I missed out on.
Btw, this is really good commentary and it’s great to have playing in the background or just for entertainment background.
The boldness of slapping’ down lines that Rin has is what I’m tryna achieve lol (by that I mean she’s not afraid to put down lines that aren’t too light and easily erasable 😆)

I’m so glad there’s still some traditional TH-cam artists out there, since you’re one of the last youtubers that I’ve watched who’s still Doing traditional art in a sketchbook. For instance Kesh who I also watch, has switched to digital. I’m more of a traditional drawer and prefer it than digital. Love your art styleeee! ❤️
