For me, the word is anticipation. I'm getting old, and I just want to ride the line., step off at the stations, hear the announcements ring out. Call me a PT infrastructure nerd if you like, but I just want to see it happen. 🙂
The dummy train info screen at 1:44 says Middle Footscray Station will be skipped for limited express, though not West Footscray...I hope they aren't serious about that?
I just saw Victoria Cross station preview in Sydney, looks beautiful. Here in Victoria its on the cheap and ugly. More cheap polished concrete. Typical.
Just don’t use that station if you are critical. Plenty of passengers will be pleased and proud to use this new network better than anything else built in Australia.
Don't care for the Metro Rail Tunnel, its just going to be a inconvenience for passengers on the Pakenham and Cranbourne lines because trains won't be going into South Yarra and Richmond, they would have to change trains at Caulfield to a already crowded train that's from Frankston that's not good for disabled and elderly.
Hmmm. platform areas look okay, but the entrance - it just looks like a big, ugly, temporary rain shelter - boring and hideous! Almost looking forward to the graffiti - almost
True I have been to both - but you should also say that both were built under dictatorships with no accountability for expenditure. This is paid by us citizens in Victoria and I don’t think it’s going to be crappy at all
people here are whinging about the fact the government is even putting these stations in despite the obvious fact our city desperately needs it, can you imagine if they used anything fancier than concrete!!! pffft

Some trains will terminate early at West Footscray, that’s why they added a third platform.
Yet we still have a bus to the Airport.. Victorian by name Victorian by nature 😂

If you're concerned about crowding on down Frankston services just change at Flinders st.
