Abraham: THE LAW OF ATTRACTION AND GAY RIGHTS - Esther & Jerry Hicks

- Abraham - who is Non-Physical Source Energy as translated by Esther Hicks - responds to a question from a lesbian activist who wants to affect social change in a meaningful "downstream" way. Recorded February 9th, 2008 in San Rafael, California.
Esther & Jerry Hicks are the authors of numerous books based on the Teachings of Abraham and their latest book, "Money and The Law of Attraction", reached #1 on the New York Times bestseller list.
For over 20 years, Esther has translated blocks of thought from "Non-Physical Source Energy" - which she also identifies as her "Inner Being" or "Soul" - and who refer to themselves in the plural as "Abraham" (no relation to the Biblical figure).

Happy memories knowing today, gay marriage has been legalized in all 50 states in the USA, 26th June 2015, took a while but we got there in the end :)
I love how Abraham used that bit of humor "They don't like eachother either" to make everyone feel better about what the woman had just said. Abraham always knows just the right thing to say!
that was inspiring! as a gay person I see my activist duty and dream like how she had just described it. I visioned change and believe in it. I live it and express it, i have dream along with millions of others that i believe firmly that nothing can stop us from attaining it and it is strong. Her speech is inspiring and motivating, positive and strong.
Amen. Finally someone who is on the same page as I. I am gay and I feel the same way. I don't need a piece of paper or an external authority to validate my love or my abundance. I am whole.

I love how Abraham fusses at people in the beginning and its sometimes not what they want to hear, but after getting their attention really good Abraham says the most beautiful harmonizing thing to bring them to greater alignment and understanding lol
giving up needing others to see me in a certain way has helped me to connect to my freedom.

"Live your Dream" awesome! Keeping this mindset, I moved to Los Angeles 2 years ago homeless and jobless with little money; now I got a pretty good career launched. Keep yourself aligned and anything is possible.

@nagchampafreak Exactly! Took me a few tries to understand this. I've always been a fighter for justice, not realizing that all of my fighting was in vain: it was not getting me what I wanted. On the contrary, it only amplified the injustices I saw. Now, I focus only on what I want to see. THAT is my reality now, and in my reality there is no injustice, no fighting. Only love for all people, no matter who they are or how they choose to live their lives. Powerful, liberating stuff!

YES! YES! YES! I totally agree with you... you see, being "legally married" meant so much to me when I thought I was "straight" and in heterosexual relationships. Now, five years after getting to know Abraham and six months after coming out as a lesbian, I don't care about marriage anymore. If I've allowed the relationship that is in my vortex, who cares? I wish I had this attitude when I was "straight," but hey... it's all good. ALL GOOD. :-D

This is the Best, most forward moving way of thinking about the equal rights movement I have ever heard. If everyone could focus on their dreams and not search for validation and tolerance but live a life of acceptance that others will be their way and I can be my way we would all get along so famously! =~)
Reading Law of Attraction and of course, whatever you focus upon you attract, whether you focus on what you want or what you don't want! Only focus upon your highest vision, your most wondrous self!

Hmm. I hear the beauty in the words spoken. And also, I march for LGBT rights not as a protest, but as a demonstration of my own integrity and passion for molding justice. I take action not in lack, but in connection when we feel so alienated and alone.

Right on Abraham! We are on the planet contrast. Contrast doesn't have to mean "conflict". Without contrast we would all just blend in, not knowing where we begin and end. Thanks. This is how I've always believed it should be. I was brought up catholic, but the only statements that ever made sense to me was the phrase "we are all Gods children" and "Jesus didn't judge"......just those 2 things...that's it. Thank you for sharing this incredible video. This is quite a distinction to really "get", and it can be applied to almost ANYTHING! After watching hours of Abraham videos, I think he is really about teaching invincibility in the face of any situation, and this is a prime example of that kind of attitude. Absolutely astounding... @Creevie While Abraham does indeed often speak for Unconditionally Loving Non Physical Source Energy, in other words God, Abraham has also made the distinction that they are Esther's (and to a certain extent Jerry's) particular translation of Divine Consciousness, which - they say - always takes second place to your own "channeling" of God, which they emphasize is ongoing every moment of every day
Also whats good is that ABraham is challenging us more and more! Great stuff, words can't express how much I get from this!

Thank you Abraham for helping in part to shut up one of the most vocal parts of our society with sound wisdom. As a 'sourced' man I have often thought... "Okay.. but would you please just stop shouting and marching and trying to tear down what I LOVE & Source has called ME to and perhaps then I might be able to hear you and see a different view & be happy for you." If we'd all let go of resisting everything& everyone both sides would turn downstream....wow what a world that will be!! Maktub!
