Absolutely. The reason being in many countries in Europe you can register those bikes and ride them on public roads. Makes everything more convenient and gives you much more freedom. With motocross bikes you are pretty much stuck on motocross tracks or very specific areas. You have to own a trailer too.

i love the KYB on my 21 Beta Racing. For Hardenduro I turnt the rebound up and the compression down. Putting the fork further up in the triple clamps also helps in rough terrain, since the KYB does stay pretty high. Even if I go to a local (not too crazy) MX track i can easly ride it on the harder settings. However the racing isn't for everyone since you need to go a certain speed to make it work properly. It could be a bit softer if I only did hard stuff but since I go to the track from time to time I won't revalve it. It impresses me how far you can tune it just with the clickers.
Since I lack a factory sponsorship I'm holding on to my cherished YZ250. I'm able to rebuild the top end in less time than most spend eating lunch and compared to a four stroke it's cheaper than a trip to the grocery store.
After 3 years, is it really different. And the real question is does Triumph have the dealer net work for the parts supply that will be needed to support racing a full season .
Nice video as always 🥂 The bike looks very nice, Colors are different for once and all the top end added part is a good initiative of them. Must be very interesting riding the bike. The mode buttons on the left is great, paired with the holeshot device on the of the front fender is awesome. Bikes look always better with custom graphics. Like to see you try one soon. Keep up the good work, always like your videos 💪🤟
Does it have a backup camera too? Good grief. What is happening with all the tech... ruining the sport. Traction control in my neck of the woods is called a clutch. Etcetera.
The wheel hubs do not appear to be a solid billet hub. They are a cast hub that has been machined on the center, you can tell by the outside of the hub its cast...
They look solid some great parts plus a modded version pulled hole shots can't wait for a comp vid. Kyb sus YZ 2 stroke looking chassis frame. Probably a good bike
A company as successful as triumph has no need to build a clone of any machine. With RC as an ambassador its easy to predict that it would probably come with an aluminum frame kyb setup like 4t he rode in the past.
This is wishful thinking, but when they release an XC racing model (I'm sure they will), I really hope they release a 300cc 4-stroke. TM and Sherco are the only ones who have them from the factory currently.
Sounds as if they've done a good job - using top branded parts is what KTM do. I think it increases the price, but you need to do it if you want to be at the top.
What he didn’t say is the engine produces 51 HP…ktm & kawi only produce 45ish…that is SIGNIFICANT for a 250…I’ve been wanting a mixture of Austrian and Japanese bikes…motor & hydraulic clutch of ktm, yet suspension of Yamaha…and the engine of 51 horses…aftermarket wheels already…I hope it lives up to the hype as I will get one or two…😂
If triumph comes out with a two-stroke that's when I might try one out . The picture where they're showing the frame the weld's look kind of shitty. It seems like they were teaching welding class at their shop😂
Good video Rado, look its better than I expected on PAPER, lets see if it is as good as it looks in the real world, sure it will be with the time and effort gone in! I probably was one of those critical it would be a cookie cutter copy, also glad it isnt for the sake of the motocross industry more than Triumph, but its good work so congrats to them! I still believe with the likes of Fantic who have a 250 GP and 450 GP team headed by a real top 5 rider, 4th in MXGP overall last year and 2 time MXDN outright individual winner in Glenn Coldenhoff, plus Beta and now Ducati entering full on will crowd the market and to sell, imo 450 class with a legit rider gives them a leg up, that said some will say more development time, but with those 3 brands they are developing in the best environment racing! With Savatgy not racing the 250 SX that's a buzz kill, not that I think he should be able, I'm frankly sick of past riders stepping down to the 250s to steal a title or just hanging out in the 250 class for a payday. Racers race, race or get out and do something else! 250 class is a feeder class, its not like the old 125/250/500 class's that were legitimate men's class's regardless of CC. So Triumph, good work, it will now be interesting to see the Ducati! None of these bikes are in my market wheelhouse however! I said that on one of your OG videos on Triumph, I am not the target market!. That said a bike has come up and frankly the price doesn't even scare m because its the bike that I always wanted Honda, Yamaha, Kawi, Suzuki to make and I have been saying since the late 90s when we owned fuel injected Yamaha outboard speed boats when I raced MX 250 class and wake boarded and water skied my arse off every weekend in summers! It was non sensical that Honda or Yamaha or Kawasaki that invented the Jetski couldn't developed a fuel injected 2 stroke MX engine, it wasn't capability it was will or lack of it! It took KTM and others! BUT, if you haven't seen 999lazers video recently on this bike, WATCH IT. Shameless plug here, no one does more to promote 2t than this dude, but its def worth checking if you are a 2stroke fan.th-cam.com/video/NBFHQVd0dwU/w-d-xo.html This bike excites me more than any bike since my 1993 CR250 and 06 YZ250. I'm putting down the greens on this thing even if its just to sit in my man cave, I don't care. This is the bike technology the Japanese should have developed decades ago, I said it then and say it now we got robbed of an era! For more info on the T500 - tomasinracing.net/product/eng... Good video thanks Rado, keep it up, best vid on the Triumph release I have seen. ps I do hope you get one to test, its important that someone whos a real weekend warrior gets to give us feedback on the 250X, btw the way that's weird, why 250 X, why not 250R, R is for racing, X is usually for X country? That's weird to me and a miss esp if they branch out to X country or Enduro?
This is gonna get interesting with the rise of electric bikes and good Chinese bikes. The Japanese brands are gonna be stuck in the middle of the market.
If they keep being complacent and getting comfy riding on the coat tail of their glory days they're going to be caught with their pants down by the Chinese. And when that happens it'll probably be too late.🤦♂️
I'm a definitely buying one they are around the same price as everything else but already comes with parts on it that we would end up paying out of pocket for any other bike

I'm not going to be happy until I see Aprilia and Cagiva get back in the game. Possibly get Vertematti Bros to mod out the factory bikes. While we're on the subject, let's dial it back on the 4 Stroke nonsense. I'm getting bored watching these tractor pulls when I could be watching racing.

Since I lack a factory sponsorship I'm holding on to my cherished YZ250. I'm able to rebuild the top end in less time than most spend eating lunch and compared to a four stroke it's cheaper than a trip to the grocery store.
It's a nice looking bike. Can't wait to see how it compares it The MX Action Shoot-Out!
Great overview! Thanks brother.
Dat price seems fair, maybe more than fair if the whole package works well together.
Great looking bike! Left out the H.P. dyno report. Was just curious the difference between the other manufacturers.
It looks pretty good....on paper. I hope it matches the hype.
Where’s the headlight and plate ? I need a woodsbike
Amazing bike but how long will the hand tig welding last and i mean in repsect of production
After 3 years, is it really different. And the real question is does Triumph have the dealer net work for the parts supply that will be needed to support racing a full season .
It's Triumph, not CCM
Nice video as always 🥂
The bike looks very nice, Colors are different for once and all the top end added part is a good initiative of them. Must be very interesting riding the bike.
The mode buttons on the left is great, paired with the holeshot device on the of the front fender is awesome.
Bikes look always better with custom graphics.
Like to see you try one soon.
Keep up the good work, always like your videos 💪🤟
are they considering making a two stroke version?
As a Brit this makes me happy 👍😎🇬🇧
What a great review Rado!! Well done👏 i do not know why....but....i think that in the near future you will have one standing behind you!! 😁💯
Does it have a backup camera too? Good grief. What is happening with all the tech... ruining the sport. Traction control in my neck of the woods is called a clutch. Etcetera.
If it cranks runs 5 minutes without springing oil leak I will be shocked
good info thanks for the insight. 👍👍👍
Ducati will be awesome but probably so high I wouldn't be surprised if their 450 isnt 15-17k
All the buttons are cute but how does the engine a trans perform
we shall see
Best review is seen in a long time👍
Also very interested in the Ducati
A company as successful as triumph has no need to build a clone of any machine. With RC as an ambassador its easy to predict that it would probably come with an aluminum frame kyb setup like 4t he rode in the past.
Like a kx frame
@@evanmiller1642 sorta looks like an aluminum one.
@rockymountainmoto1975 we the only ones that notice that?
@@evanmiller1642 sounds like it
That bike sounds like so much blast!
Well congrats to triumph on their own dirtbike
Triumph has also done their own thing 💥
Will a 450 be next? Saw somewhere that Ricky Carmichael was helping to develope it.
lovely bike.good job Triumph
So it's just coincidence the engine looks identical to a '22 ktm 250?
What he didn’t say is the engine produces 51 HP…ktm & kawi only produce 45ish…that is SIGNIFICANT for a 250…I’ve been wanting a mixture of Austrian and Japanese bikes…motor & hydraulic clutch of ktm, yet suspension of Yamaha…and the engine of 51 horses…aftermarket wheels already…I hope it lives up to the hype as I will get one or two…😂
My atc 250r has traction controls its called throttle, clutch and brakes.Lol.
Never had an issue with my Triumph Daytona 955 I nice bike and fast
I'll just keep riding my 03 cr250 that's STROKED by TERRY VARNER no payments still can go fast and style n whip on a oldie
Good stuff Rado shop is looking good
Hope it's not the same old parts Triumph problems..no parts and high prices.
Shameless plug here, no one does more to promote 2t than this dude, but its def worth checking if you are a 2stroke fan.th-cam.com/video/NBFHQVd0dwU/w-d-xo.html
This bike excites me more than any bike since my 1993 CR250 and 06 YZ250. I'm putting down the greens on this thing even if its just to sit in my man cave, I don't care. This is the bike technology the Japanese should have developed decades ago, I said it then and say it now we got robbed of an era!

X for Moto “Cross”
Can't wait for a riding review.
It's hard to take a chance on a newcomer but the brand is proven and... Price wise. That's a lot of good components 😬
All the extras are optional and bunk the price up quite a bit
This isn't a street sled. There are very few if any dealer add one for a MX bike.
Why not add a two cycle ?
Please make a 200 2t enduro and a 3004t enduro. Motocross is cool but mostly we all trail ride.
hope they tap into the 2t and enduro market!!
Maybe 150cc & 300cc 2strokes?
I'm a definitely buying one they are around the same price as everything else but already comes with parts on it that we would end up paying out of pocket for any other bike
Triumph did it well so far.
Cheers.
Awesome video Awesome bike !!
I'm absolutely not convinced Triumph build their own engine. You mention this in the video, on what is this comment based ? Have you been able to take one apart ?
Hello from Greece 🇬🇷
If they get riders that win right away they got a chance.winning sells.line em up lets go. Wish the best for TRIUMPH. BRAAAAP
I agree with that. 4-strokes get boring and you know racing a 4-choke makes racing a lot easier and quite boring! 2-strokes rule the roost period!
cagiva doesnt exist anymore, also aprillia tried motocross bikes in the 2010s and didnt succeed as expected, i doubt they will be back at this
@@frankyweaponsI know they don't exist but you know the motorcycle industry. It's like the MCU. One superhero gets killed then somehow gets resurrected and overpowered. I'm sure there's enough leftover R&D between Moto Morini and Ducati to at least bring back the name. MV already did it and somehow, someone was stupid enough to sprinkle Dracula's blood on Indian yet again.
As for Aprilia they had 2 major attempts in the dirt. They did win 9 Chips as the underdog and the latter attempt was banned by the AMA for being a V-Twin. They say it was due to emissions but we all know that's bullshit. The Big 4 were paying someone off. I'd be happy to at least see a 250. 4 stroke or 2 stroke. Even if they don't make waves in motocross, how awesome would it be to have that twin MXV 450 back? Even as a play bike, top 10 imo.
I wonder if they will come out with two strokes? Probably not lol I dunno
Supper smart bike it's about time I want a 250 for the 1st time ever.i want one.
My parents bought me and my brother YZ 250's Christmas of 1980,,,,my Bike was a 79, but brand new , my brothers was 1980 model,,,,,800.00 Dollars for mine and 1,100 for my Brothers
Looks good
Seems like dirt and adventure bikes are doing good
I think the new triumph is super cool... it's something all on its own... hehe I predict that the first one to make a youtube complaining video. is an armican dirtbike dude....things i hated about my new triumph dirtbike...
My experience as a Triumph technician makes me worry about quality control issues.
Very nice motor i hope i can have that kind of motor...from Phil's
