Eloquent, a wonderful vocabulary; generous of spirit, courteous and a patriot in the best sense: a man of immense cricketing and personal integrity. How sad he won't be at the 40th JPL anniversary.

I love the way he speaks English, not fast paced, very gentle.

I like Big Bob's deadpan delivery, I enjoy listening to him. He's passionate about his cricket and was a fine bowler. From an Aussie.

Champion fast bowler, loyal and a great commentator. I liked listening to him and he was funny too in a dry way. RIP Bob. From an Aussie

Watched him many-a-time at Edgbaston, when he wasn’t playing for England, his run up was nearly at the boundary rope, great times, thanks Bob for your enjoyment you gave me and fellow Bears fans, RIP.

If I ever wrote a book, the protagonist would have the looks and personality of Bob WIllis. RIP. Great Man!!!

He never mentioned leaving the John Player League trophy in the pub the day they won it.

A great loss to the great game of Cricket. His exploits at Headingly in 1981 will never be forgotten.

He hardly played there. Someone in the crowd shouted "Bowler's name?" at one of his rare appearances
