Ive had the privilege of travelling to Europe & else where & I'm so glad i discovered this channel & watching most of Rick's adventures which brought back many fond memories... Truly a fascinating gentleman... Im part German & liked seeing Rick with his hat lol... But we in fact more from the East...

Retiring this year hope to go to Italy several times. Can’t make up our minds if we should do a tour or go solo…..

If you can stand being on a bus with the same people for several days, then do a tour.
Personally I like to travel independently.

@@vcom2327 My biggest concern is transportation, but most I’ve talked to said English is posted as well in the bus and train stations.
