Man I'm 32 from New Orleans ... my grandparents are just like uncle Shay Shay.. it's why I respect everyone I come in contact with until you show me you're not worth respecting. I especially respect my elders because of their wisdom amongst other things. Being in the south has shaped us and taught us lessons most never learn unless their down here assuming they learn it at all.. our grandparents were damn near our moms and dads and they used the "souf" in itself to mold us.. most places in the U.S. come here and try to condescend but one thing visitors can't deny is that love and family vibe that they get when they come.. we were built as survivors and respect is an integral part of who we are!!!

It wasnt until about 3 years ago, that I started learning about shannon. The way he conducts himself, has his morals and will die by them, and how it's always about the person before or behind him. It made me wanna be greater, and for that, I thank you Shay

I love Shannon. He’s come from so far away. I love his honesty and pride of where he’s come from.

I’ve watched this episode a few times. And I appreciate it more and more each time. By far, one of the best episodes. Coming from nothing, having immigrant parents working in the farm…i have an understanding. Makes me appreciate life even more than I already do when I see this episode.

Uncle Shannon is class personified! My eyes definitely watered a few times during this interview! The way he speaks of his Grandparents and siblings.....PRICELESS!

Stack litterally can relate to everybody that has come on this podcast, I really appreciate where he came from and what he's overcome to be in this position.
