Great video! And totally valuable tips for us LingLing Wannabes. So much of practicing seems to be the opposite of what you think at first. Recently, I couldn't play piano for a few weeks due to physical reasons and I was really worried that I would fall behind a lot with everything. When I started playing again, it only took a few days to get back to my previous practicing status, but beyond that, things suddenly went much easier. Problematic parts that I had practiced long and desperately and still never worked out were suddenly no longer a problem. I don't quite understand what happened there, but apparently practice breaks aren't bad sometimes. Invisible things happen.😀
This is actually more common than you might realize. I've seen it happen to myself and many students. Obviously too many breaks is not good, but when you've been putting in a lot of work, something about giving your mind time off helps to sort through the problems. I'm not sure I understand it all either, but I think a lot more is processed in the subconscious than we realize!
In weightlifting, people are starting to realize that working to 70-80% rate of perceived exertion is more beneficial long term. I think it's universal tbh
👍👍👍 thanks for reminding

It really does make a lot of sense to me! I feel it's something more people should know about
