- Learn how to create your own chandelier lampshade in no time using an old lampshade. It's a must see!
All opinions are my own. I have not received any compensation for any of the products used in the video. I have no material connection to the brands, products, or services that I have mentioned. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising."
Items You Will Need:
- Mini Glue Gun
- Glue Sticks (Qty: 2 - 3)
- Scissors or Box Cutter
- Old Lamp Shade
- 99 ft. Roll of Clear Crystal Garland Beads (Qty: 3)
- Ruler (Optional)
In the video, I used a 14" Drum Lamp Shade.
Length of the long string of beads: 16" inches
Length of the short string of beads: 14" inches
Project Cost: Approx. $20 - $40 (depending on diameter of lampshade and what materials you already have on hand) Note: This is the cost for 2 lampshades. The cost to make one is under $20.
You can get most of the items at a craft store near you. The garland beads can be purchased online. Simply do a Google search for Garland Clear Crystal Beads or Wedding Garland Beads. Be sure to get the ones that are 99 ft long.

@@treshaja you are so very welcome! I mean it from the heart ❤! The question that I have is it hard to find colored translucent garland? I checked on Amazon but because of my low vision it seems that the colored garland is opaque? I am not sure? I would love to try to make a red one for my home but I am not sure if that is possible? Thank you in advance for any information you might have?! Have a super creative day! 👌
SO VERY PRETTY. THANKS FOR SHARING.

one more question.....did u purchase 3 rolls of the 99ft garland?
+phyllis harris Hi Phyllis, I purchased 2 rolls of 99ft garland. Only used 1 1/2 rolls to complete it. The amount needed depends on the size of the frame. You may not need as much as I used.

That's very eloquent!
+Ty Levett It sure is. I love these so much!
You mean, "Elegant", Hun. "Elegant" means pleasingly graceful, tasteful, sophisticated and/or stylish in appearance or manner. "Eloquent" refers to a way of speaking clearly, fluently and persuasively or to clearly articulate or indicate something.
Not Tryin' To Hear You! you're absolutely right and thank you for correcting me! I use talk to text and it doesn't always get it right, therefore I really need to double check my comments before posting them!
+Ty Levett Thanks Ty! 😊
Like it. You should have turned on the lamp for us to see it with the light on.
+Flowergirl Power LOL Thanks! I'll remember that next time 😊

Thank you!!
So pretty. There is no problem with hot glue on a lamp that heats up?
+Tanya Raymond Thanks Tanya! For the size that I did, it works fine with hot glue. If you do a smaller shade frame which would be closer to the bulb, I would use RapidFuse All Purpose Adhesive. It dries really quick and stays put.
So pretty! You're very creative, new sub.
Thank you so much!!! That's Wonderful.
this is so amazing
Thank you!!
Fabulous
Thank you!!
+treshaja love it

+Leslie Simmons Yay!!! Thank you so much, Leslie! 😊
love it
+Tae Al Thank you!!!
Hi, this is a really cool DIY project :))) You might have covered it and I missed it but where did you get the lamp? It is so perfect for this. If I can find it or a similar one, you gave me the idea to do a row on the inside of the top too so it's a double layer of crystals:))) I really love what you did! Just subscribed!
+Ava Callaway Hi Ava! Yes, this is so easy to do and I absolutely love how it looks. I only covered how to make the lampshade in the video but didn't mention the base. I purchased the base years ago from Rooms To Go. I've seen very nice bases at Goodwill that are waiting to be cleaned and painted.
Loving it!!!new subbie
+Deja Vu Awesome!! I'm so happy you subscribed. Many thanks!! If you have any questions or suggestions, just let me know 😊
where do you buy the garland beads, at Michael's
+Audrey Gordon I purchased the garland beads on Amazon.
Loved this!!! New subbie!!😊
+Montrice Sherrer Awesome!! Thank you so much! 😊
NICE
+Valorie Philip Thank you!!!
is hot glue better for this project or the other glue
+Shavell Pouncy That's a good question. You could always use e6000 but I wanted a glue that would dry quickly. I've been using this lamp for about 9 months now and haven't had any problems with the hot glue.
treshaja awesome thanks for replying
😊👍🏼where did you get the beads?????
+Monica Dillard The beads can be purchased on Amazon. Here's the link: amzn.to/2mMq6Yw
love this...
Thank you!!
