Sorry about the delay in the release of the vlog guys but I'm back editing the vlogs, with working nights its going to take a bit more time to edit than usual
I appreciate any more tips you have, mate. I'm doing my hgv training with a supermarket and will stay with them for a while. I think it's a good stepping stone for myself
Nothing better than a dogs welcome
Like watching ballet with FLTs, organised chaos - excellent !
Mate could you please do a video on how too secure the curtian sides, i had a right night mare there
Keep up with the good work 💯 on the garden Chris and I really enjoyed this video stay safe out on the road this week.
I worked for Eezehaul once, I recognise the hub your in also. (Birmingham)
I could sit and watch all those lads flying around in the forklifts all day lol
If you look through my other videos mate there are a couple from the same depot 👍🏻
Thank you for sharing this I have my theory on the 28th and then going straight in to class 1 as I've got an immediate start at a company my uncle works at anyways keep the content coming dropped a like and subbed thanks again 😁
I've got my class 1 and 2 lesseons over 8 days up in Prestwick. Hopefully all goes well and I learn quickly. I am nervous for this whereas my car test I wasn't the least bit worried. Passed my car theory and practical in January and I got I've just passed my lorry theory now on for lessons in February and test. If I pass this and get a job next step will be the big bike test. Will be cool to drive almost anything some time mid 2023 😎🤞
how did it go? 😁
great vlog big chris cant wait for the next one and its always nice to see renn.
Great vlog pal keep up the good work can't wait for the next one
Do you put your tacho on to break when you have a sleep?
Great video bud. Just failed my class 1, got it re booked for next week. Some great advice bud thank you
Hay big Chris, I PASSED yesterday morning I'm absolutely buzzing. Plus 4 hours after I landed myself a job. 👍
@@chrislawrence2914 well done mate…. Onwards and upwards
@@kohtime thank you buddy
Hiya Chris. I've just passed my test. What type of work is this. Is it just driving to one location from your depot and then back. Sounds like a job i wouldn't mind doing as a newbie
Ooo those forklifts ,😳😳😳
This video was excellent. This type of work would suit me especially with the kips. Are there any companies that are better for this and do all nights have a sleep system?
Thanks
Keep up the grind👊
Brilliant content Chris, do you have your nap as you're getting loaded back up?
Thanks mate at the depot I get about 3-4 hrs head down depending on when I get here
can you listen to podcast or audiobook while you are driving ?
Don’t suppose you have a link for your gloves and sat nav you recommend?
Hi just subcribed I am in process of waiting for my provisional licence from dvla and have been to my medical 2 weeks ago studying for my theory atm Been a long time ambition to get into industry 2
Great content !
Awesome Content ever
Great tips for us all.
Thanks will 👍🏻
So they tip you then you get a fews hrs kip then go back in to get reloaded?
Yes mate and give you free food 👍🏻
Thank you!
How do you beat HGV fatigue
Pull over mate somewhere quiet if possible and have half an hr, I’m sure your company will understand
@LC thank you very much for replying, I’ve passed my theory and have booked in for my practical. I appreciate the advice, I will definitely follow it.
@LC class 2 for now then will work my way onto class 1
@LC thank you very much. And yeah it seems extremely difficult to drive a 44 tonne straight away I wouldn’t want to risk it personally but definitely in the future one my experience is up
@LC I just wanted to ask about tachograph. Do you get a reminder when to take your break or do you just have to remember as it seems very strict
TPN
If you know you know
Which depot was that?
Think I've been there
Unless they all look the same
Keep my cards on a lanyard
Always put it on before my coat
Can you run your CPAP in the truck Chris?
Not really mate, I only sleep in there for maybe 4-5 hrs so not really worth it
@@BIGChris just a thought from having used mine for over two years, you should really try if you can it will make a big difference. I don't even take a nap without mine now.
Great content Chris I'm currently doing my class 2 so some good tips cheers 👍
Hello Chris
Can I ask, which truck sat NAV do you use and do you have a link for where I could purchase one.
Regards Rob
Hi Rob the sat Nav I use is the “Garmin fleet 670” But I’ve had it a while, any Garmin truck with a descent dive screen would suffice mate
@@BIGChris is it this house you are planning to buy. How’s the mortgage thing going. How’s your lady doing ?
Minworth pal hope yer get yer free dinner from snack wagon lol
