Oooohhh so I think this is how Flume has achieved a similar effect on some of his songs (particularly in his album “Skin”). I’ve always wondered about this specifically, never imagined they were distinct notes
It's true about what you said about deep engagement with the human voice: It's actually got lots of research behind it! Much like we are incredibly adapted to find faces (eyes and mouths) the auditory system is adapted to listening to human voices. Most processing for sounds happens in the auditory cortex but the human voice actually has a specialised area called the STS. And it is incredibly sensitive, it's attuned to even "voice-like" sounds - so it can be said by using the voice as a synth it will be more stimulating and more engaging even on a psychological level!
Now that I’m hearing it, that’s such a unique sound! And ive heard it EVERYWHERE! I always wondered why I loved the OST for “Sheepo” so much AND THATS WHY! It’s a human voice turned into the music!
I just recently used bouncy notes. I didn’t see the gravity setting. I’ll have to check that out again. Bouncy notes makes a lot of things possible. I used it for sci fi atmospheric music.
If you’re using intro you may or may not have this audio plug in. The different levels in ableton have different things it comes with. Intro has a very limited amount of stock plug ins compared to the suite which has them all. I would check the website to see if you have this in your version
i've been pondering just staying with intro. with the other options you get far too many plugins, you get max, you get all those tracks and just so many more rabbit holes to go down that will distract you from making music. lite is basically useless, except as an enticer, but intro strikes a good middle ground. just freeze and resample stuff and you shouldn't need more tracks
Jesus Walks by Kanye has atleast one voice track playing on it nearly constantly through the whole song because he was able to recognize how impactful the human voice is as an instrument.
I don't comment a lot but your production is just so damn unique and creative, I've been wanting to make music too and every time I watch your post i can't help but say YOU ARE AWESOME!!!
@@dimboomx7582pe. It’s lame. I mean creativity is still involved, but the heart and soul is clearly not there when you listen. Oh wait, I’m not old at all. lol I just prefer actual musicians instead of humming a note and letting a computer do everything else

While I too believe many are attracted to human-voice-like sounds, I'm quite the opposite. I can appreciate a few synthetic choirs/pads, but if a sounds get too close to being realistic I instead find it unattractive and only hear the distorted parts. In an "uncanny valley" sort of way.
FL is as good as ableton mostly but its native plugin family is lacking. Ableton is better for dynamic music but FL is better for looping music. Both can do both though.
My theory is that all sounds are understood by our brain in relation to natural sounds. The human voice is the most natural, relatable sound for us. We enjoy unnatural sounds also _because_ they veer from what we expect and shock us in a sense. It's a rebellious act.
Just remember, IT IS CLEARLY stated "Includes paid promotion" So please understand that they 99% likely don't use this at all. They probably use the method somewhere else, but definitely isn't using no Ableton device. 99.99% of creators (literally) don't use the products they sponsor unless it's a paid segment to use it. But if it's not sponsored, you'll never see them using the products they promote. Considering most promotions are also pretty low quality stuff being promoted.
