When I eventually get to La Plagne, and today would have been my first day there, I won't ski it, but I'll have a look at that gully to see what it looks like in real life. FWIW, ordering my new boots - Salomon QTS 70 - from Glissop after the lesson on Thursday, should help me make more progress with them on instead of the Head rental CF boots, as we'll be moving into the beginning of parallel skiing. 🤞
You can get a good view of the gully from the Arpette chairlift, which is how I found it. If you check some of my other videos where that chairlift is included, it's just to the right as you go up...
Wow! That was some gulley.
Yeah, only if it was longer, I enjoyed it...
5:10 - 6:10 нравится кататься на таких местах, особенно когда свежий снег
Agree, more interesting than the standard piste...
Heading to La Plagne in late January 2025....hope the snow is good. Skied Les Arcs in 1984, great to finally return to the area.
Have fun! As you probably know, they are connected now via the Vanoise Express doubledecker cable car. I don't think they had that in 1984...
@@ChasingSnow I don't remember it being there as an option, no.
@@wolfecanada6726exactly, it doesn't look that old...

@@ChasingSnow Right, when I get there I'll use that chairlift and have a look for it.

A little scretchy but it's good to be back in big mountain country again. (Snow, too!)
Even though this was captured in December :-) Looking forward to being back in the Alps soon... but not soon enough...
