Let's face it, COH 1 was a much better game. The game itself looks more clear and units interact much more smoothly with one another.
It's pretty nuts how well CoH was designed. It still somehow looks absolutely beautiful, so much attention to detail. And the game is flawed (e.g. snipers are pretty OP, RNG) but it fundamentally really well designed. The different phases, interesting decisions that people can make, an early game that is both impactful but doesn't always decide the whole game.
Hat's off to you for sticking around with the CoH series for so long. While I'm not sure I've ever uninstalled either CoH1 or CoH2 from storage, I definitely went through a period where I didn't play it very much, aside from playing a round with my godson vs. AI on occasion. Then I saw a few videos from what I suppose in the "CoH casting" industry would be a peer that were mostly humorous in nature - lots of goliaths, no pop cap, etc. Funny, but made me miss the actual game. Then I found you. I've once again started playing with some regularity, and I can't wait for CoH3. Keep it up, man.

Man, I never get bored of watching your coh1 replays, at least once every year I watch couple of the them.
Been in this game since beta version, was at point lvl50 with armor, beta had bada$$ tree system, you get to chose faction and only play that faction, plus the cards finese was wack, the gladiator rifleman oh nice memories...

Late 2023 and COH 1 is still the best game. I didn't care for the ui changes in the new games and honestly can't move on from the first game. I don't feel the need to bc it gives me everything I want
There's a lot of things I like about CoH 1, but after having played CoH 2 for so long I can't get over how anemic and floaty the vehicles feel.

I do enjoy the CoH 1 gameplay, I only ever played bot matches and the campaign. Game was too intimidating to play much online for me as I missed it in the hayday. I recognize this map from CoH 2 though, I actually remember enjoying it in CoH 2. Maaaybe it could be in ML somehow? :D

the main US mistake was not using the M8 to finish off the halftrack.

What is the reason coh1 capture points system is regarded as superior to coh2s system?
Capture system in coh2 was better since units can fight it out and stall, but the resource system in coh1 is better cause it didn't put too much emphasis on a single point like coh2. Theres more fuel and muni points spread throughout the map.

I would agree coh1 is superior rts back in its heyday and even now, but I got to give a shout out to starcraft if youre speaking about groundbreaking game that revolutionized the rts genre almost a decade before coh1. Just my opinion really.

@@AECoH You have a headset on. We do not, mostly. Sorry for being a dick. MY point is simply next time have the game volume louder because we can barely hear it. You're 5 times louder than the game.
I am about to give up on this game because the US team is far inferior to Germans in almost every way. games are never fair
your units are cheaper than the germans so dont get them killed, attack from diferent angles
the german late game armor is uber expecive so you should have more units than him
@@jonathansibrian695 but Americans have population cap issues and the Germans just fortify until they have a wall of panthers which each take like 3 Sherman's to kill.
It's balanced, but u need different playstyles for the factions!
@@confusedcaveman6611 Flank and bombard their defensive blobs.
You also shouldn't be trying to kill Panthers with Shermans, Shermans are Infantry shredders.
AT Guns and sticky grenades are the the things you should be using to counter German armor.
That or M10s/M18s
Americans are harder to play, I'll give you that, they take much more micro and their units are much weaker without the proper upgrades.
But when you play them right the German player will be completely overwhelmed with units coming at them from every side.
