I’d just love to visit him and go round his workshop and car collection. Wonderfully eccentric but a great man. I could listen to him for hours? No weeks. I stumbled on Ivan's channel a few years ago. It had a different name then and I had to find him all over again after he changed it. He's very impressive. You can check out his Mini prototype two cylinder engine when you're there. There's quite a story.behind that one.

1:46 I'd love to be there to pick through tools. Believe it or not there used to be several sellers in NYC (Hell's Kitchen and Chelsea flea market) that sold quality vintage tools. I was able to find the correct profile antique hand plane (double bead) to make replacement molding for my house. -- I'm afraid that most of the old guard has passed away now -- only cheap plastic power tools these days. Revel in your community.

Definitely good to visit Ivan.He is a legend in his own life. He has now retired from Ivan Dutton Engineering, now run by his son Tim, who are the most famous restorers of classic Bugattis in the country. You could ask to visit there at the same time, very close by, I think. Lots of very expensive classic Bugattis being restored.

Ivan also has prototype BMC mini engines. One's a two cylinder, and ones a two stoke. Both are working, mounted on a trolly.
