I saw that "R: Tape Loading Error" in the description, and it immediately took me back to messing around for hours on a second-hand Speccy as a kid. The frustration when that cursed message appeared!
@@iana6713 Though I was Einstein when I figured you could do something else in that time rather than just look at the loading pic. I had multi tasking boxed off at 10 years old! Haha
@@MrNot2Techy You and me both! Type Load "", hit Enter, press Play, and go find something else to do until the electronic shriek of the loading sound stopped! (And pray that you didn't see that bloomin' error message!)
@@redexile Hi thank you so much for pointing this out would have never known!! It was an editing mistake (only human not androids yet) it was an unused edit so cropped the video. Will be uploading a few videos regarding uploading games, specs and max usb capacities, file formats and a few other bits too including connecting to my projector which sounds interesting 🧐 stay tuned and please like and subscribe if not already, thanks again 🙏
Nice comparison! To me this is probably the best such emulation device I've seen, even though it's not an FPGA emulation; but for all intents and purposes, it works as an actual Spectrum (sans the original accessories). Very cool!
@@bellissimo4520 Totally agree, there have been others but none have ‘looked the part’ and that’s a big deal for fans. Not quite sure my kids will share my excitement playing games on it! Haha
@@u4ia_fubar_75 The Wall, probably the very first game I ever played on my 16k spectrum back in the 80s. I had a black and white TV in my bedroom at the time too!

@@iana6713 Tell me about it, never happened to a quick loading game either! Always the one that took 10 minutes to load! Go figure Haha

Looks great ! Video stopped at about 9:03 minutes, was this intended ? Looking forward to seeing more about it from you
@@redexile Hi, thank you, not sure what happened about it stopping, will look into it today, more videos to come! 👍

@@bellissimo4520 I can see myself playing with the insides of one of these and transplanting it into an old spectrum plus I have too!
My old man had the ZX SPECTRUM back in the early 80's, it took about an hour to load a simple game like WALL.

None of them took an hour, even 128 games were never much over 15 mins, most with fast loaders were 2 to 8 mins.
@ think it was meant as ‘felt like an hour’ definitely compared to todays instant load times haha
