I also noticed that the teams where binghua is in, they get less screentime (?) first is the segment from episode 8 where they were scaring the trainees and stuff, binghua's team didn't get shown at all??? And also in the previous behind the scene video with dongpyo, the time after time team only got 5 seconds of screentime... Literally what
jtbc is very weird towards chinese trainees, they didnt show lynnlynn when he was the main vocalist of trigger team, didnt properly show yichen during his part and keeps on focusing on his flaws, atilla getting no screentime, binghua and mjx being painted as selfish
The thing about binghua in time after time is so funny (weird funny) to me. Like, he explained that he could be better at the part he wanted if he got time to learn the pronunciation so they give him the rapper position? One of the hardest things to do as a foreigner is to wrap in a foreign language.
tyy for say this 😭 everytime someone calls this out its always people telling them to suck it up as it “always happens on svs” but thats the problem!! if no one speaks up its going to continue its not something to dismiss especially with how bad its affecting these trainees mentally 🤕🤕
OMG FINALLY SOMEONE SPOKE OUT ABT THIS- it is blatently obvious the jtbc hates binghua. In the time after time team, 3 members took youngseo's parts but jtbc didnt make it a huge deal but binghua taking 2 lines from hanbin was a big issue?? nd in the last episode, they made it seem like binghua took chenyu's part. Its so disgusting to see all this from a show which is supposed to make a global group
i think the reason its taken so long for someone to bring this up is because the editing is so specific. jtbc has said that they pride themselves in not evil editing their trainees and i believe people are almost expecting harsh evil editing that the subtle nature of project 7’s flies over their head. yes, while jtbc releases footage from each team, theyre greatly calculated on what it is they want you to see. its always the flaws and “selfishness” of the chinese trainees (binghua vs hanbin line distribution), and never their hard work and dedication (binghua covering for hyunwoo’s sore throat, lynnlynn becoming trigger’s main vocalist despite having never even considered singing). jtbc shows their chinese trainees only when its convenient to them
JTBC made another vocal survival show called Girls on Fire. The 5 finalists who were supposed to debut had their debut cancelled. And now the new Project 7 group has some issues
I'm bandi and Hanbin has done rap before in FANBO songs. I truly don't get why it was such a big deal that hanbin switched, as if he was incapable of doing so. People will do anything to make sure the final line-up is korean (except kenshin, I haven't seen any hate towards him) despite the talent the foreigners bring. I think that is also why all of the benefits that can eliminate trainees are decided by in person voting. They show all of the foreign fans waiting outside to support their favs, then when they do pans on the crowd during the match, it's mostly, if not all, korean fans.
global trainees deserve better!!! i was so sad for lynnlynn bc im sure he practiced a lot for his main vocal role, and jtbc showed none of that. but ofc they have time to include evil edits 🤡
I feel so bad for Chinese trainees🙁🙁 as a Binghua biased I feel really bad for him😢 also it’s so sad seeing all the hate messages towards him on weverse, they hate him for literally nothing. In LALALA performance he was the only one who could handle doing the high notes in his team. So disappointing 😕
thanks for the video. this topic really needs to be spread as much as possible, such behavior of the company is unacceptable. I hope as many people as possible will pay attention to this problem. drama is not worth trainee's mental health..
Even if they wanted to use the excuse about binghua being a high ranking "visual only" trainee, then what about sungmin?? not a single bad edit for sungmin who is MILES below binghua in talent, i totally agree with this. I only started watching this show for Lee Hanbin and I can see how unfair this editing was. They showed them both singing the line and then cut to the performance like "make your own decision" to the fans, but like, obviously hanbin is a main vocal he is more practiced, and I think they definitely wanted Binghua there instead of Hanbin because Hanbin's voice suited the rap part much better than binghuas would, period. There's never any issue when other trainees take another part for the sake of the team? Lin lin, another foreigner!, got forced to take all the main vocal parts when he isn't a vocal and got 0 screen time or praise for it it feels like, it's really sad to watch.
@beomseobsgf its crazy when sungmin gets forced into a sub vocal part he's 'doing a favor for the team' and angel edited and then when lin lin does it's just completely glossed over this episode really made me so upset 😭 if lee hanbin and wu chenyu are out after this next one I'm legit just gonna keep voting only for the foreign trainees that remain, its ridiculous 💔
I agree with everything you said. I watched the show for Atilla, and stayed for Majingxiang, but the way they edited Atilla out? And at the pajama party they mentioned he was someone that they missed and EVERYONE agreed, so clearly he was well liked. I also want to point out Chen Yu who got praised for his vocals by the judges all the time but still got no screentime and was never given an edit, except when it was with Binghua at the end. It is annoying because it seems really clear that the other trainees like the foreign members a lot, they are always talking with them and they seem really happy/sad when they get through or eliminated. (Just look at how excited everyone was for LynnLynn to get into the finals when he was convinced he would be eliminated) and that is what annoys me the most about the editing. I hate to admit that I fell for the evil editing of Majingxiang in Boys Planet but then I realized what it was and voted for him in this instance because I realized he was treated so unfairly. Ugh, I am glad that the Chinese members keep getting ranked 1st in these shows because hopefully it will help change the attitude.
Well, that's also true for Wakeone, another kpop company. They always mistreat the Chinese members of Zerobaseone and Kepler, like editing Ricky out of MAMA Thumbnails and fausely accusing Xiaoting for not commiting to her group's schedule, even though she did.
It is a korean show who wants to have a korean group. Being global means that they are going to have one or two foreigners. They are going to have a japanese, which is kenshin (although i think there are better japanese trainees there), and they are going to have a chinese, which would be maxiang sooo the other one should be out of the scene. Maybe they can have a northamerican korean because it is a korean but they haven't got any so. That's all because it is going to be a group of 7. If they were 9, maybe you can put another chinese member in, but it is not going to be the case.
@@amritasreepadini8511 because its just for show. they always think of the kr trainees more highly than than the global ones even if they pretend everyone is equal. Yechin has been consistently shown lately as someone who has matured into a grown a** man. So again, you think he was evil edited, and I completely disagree. - MA JING XIANG: similar story. In Boys Planet he seemed as someone who was betrayed occasionally by his passion and his feelings. But here in Project 7 he is portrayed as someone who when having a difficult time, like when having very little parts, he solved the issue calmly with restrain and patience. He does not fight or cry, he waits and when given the opportunity he reacts like a true professional. In fact, just to prove your point wrong, on the same chapter Kenshin is faced with the exact same issue, but his reaction is much more immature. He is shown crying and complaining to the camera. But then, am I badmouthing Kenshin, by praising Ma Jing Xian? No of course not! Is the show then evil editing Kenshin? No! they are just showing what happened. And it makes total sense. Kenshin is younger and less experienced, his reaction is totally normal. And Ma Jing Xian has learned a lot from his previous experience and has shown so much growth in this show. I have absolute respect for him. And I am saying this after watching the same show, and the same images you have watched. My opinion: this particular show is not evil editing Yichen or Ma Jing Xian. I do agree, however, that the show is already showing their favourites (basically the MerryGoRound boys) and Attila and Binghua do not seem to be on their list. I do not think this has anything to do with nationality, and might have more to do with other stuff. The fact that you like Binghua (that happens to be chinese) does not make him the best contender. Being a bad or good contender is so subjective, and depends on so many factors. I think with all my respect, you are wasting time trying to look for narratives that are not real in this particular case. That does not mean there is no racism in South Korea... that is a totally different issue. Also, do South Koreans have a tendency to vote more for South Koreans. Most probably.
