I know Bibeak s2 is the skill that gets all the hype, but don't overlook her s1--it's one of the strongest sustained dps skills in the game. For perspective, with her maxed module it outdpses Thorns on a single target by ~25% if 0 Defense/Res, and if there's a second target then it has ~56% more dps than Thorns thanks to the secondary projectile (hits in standard Lord range, can hit drones). Now, Bibeak does lack his range/regen and doesn't scale as well vs Defense, but on the other hand she has no warmup required and is a permanently available welfare 5\* rather than a gacha 6\*. Bibeak also scales extremely well with buffers (Skadi the Corrupting Heart in particular) thanks to relying almost exclusively on multihit/attack scale/attack speed.
Well, the warmup is the 7 kills she needs, but it's still probably often easier than Thorns S3 chargeup. However, the range and target flexibility of Thorns is why he's used - his DpS numbers aren't actually *that* impressive, it's that he's constantly hitting, often without having to block. You also really need M3 on Bibeak S1 for it to work well. Not that it's an issue if you're investing in module 3 already lol. It's a solid option if you like Bibeak, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
If you want to scale, don't take other job as a example, there's already chen s1, which can be easily overpowered her without niche being able to attack drone
Bibeak s1 has ~60% more dps than Ch'en1 s1, assuming both are m3 with max modules, Bibeak is pot6 and Ch'en1 is pot1. This is also assuming a single target; with two+ Bibeak's lead increases to ~94%.
I wonder if that 6 ASpD helps her hit some thresholds - perhaps lets her get a second attack off before enemies finish hit animation after stun? Or at least goes towards that.
That ASPD will definitely help her activate her skill more, as dual strike guards they always have an offensive charge skill set although they make it up by having some way to generate more SP like Cutter and Ch'en SP talent and in the case of Bibeak, that ASPD buff edit: corrections
@@mayatree0 Unless it hits thresholds it won't actually help much - if you need to pop the skill every X seconds, the way attack charge works means that if she doesn't get off an extra attack, she doesn't get any extra SP in the cycle at all.
I really hate how up until this day, 5 stars still gets the shaft in everything. Mediocre new units, crappy modules, and even crappier module upgrades. They really struggle to make most newer 5 stars viable as well as make their modules viable and ngl, it sucks.
Reed in particular that I believe had it worst. Addition of modules essentially took away her unique niche and made every other charger VG do it better.
Agree, I feel like 4s have more power compare with 5 stars operator. Maybe, dev wanna make 6 stars is reliable DPS, 5s is support for 6 stars and 4 stars is stall or burst operator.
Bibeak's module is good, actually. Sure, it's not one of the best modules in the game, but Bibeak is already a very strong operator, especially for a 5*. She is used to stunlock enemies, so due to her attack charging, the +5 attack speed she gains from the module and the +6 attack speed she gains from the extra stack are very meaningful. As a bonus, +10% skill damage, +65 base attack and +14% attack at full stacks is a big buff for her DPS where that is relevant (mainly IS2).
I wish HG could still make some module changes/buffs to some of those ops. They buffed Passenger. But sadly, I really don't think they'll do it with this situation.
Bibeak: *destroys the stage without any support whatsoever*

Ch'en: *casually takes the spotlight*

Ashring theme is insane. 165~ atk from a module is so cracked.

As a bibeak enjoyer I do agree on everything you said

Your vids are hella informative for people like me, who can't understand jack without testing myself. Thanks for all you do mate!
I love these informative videos that really cater to the specific strength of the modules. You are probably my favorite arknights youtuber right now
Honestly, man, I love your videos. Your explanation and attention to how operators work is on point. Good showcase
To your friends who let you borrow their accounts with max modules... Thank you
Welp seeing her modules upgrade makes me excited

you forgot 6ASPD stacc 7 times on the whole run.

@@bluerendar2194 It's the pots that give 1 more, not the module
Module only gives extra atk, nothing else. Underwhelming as hell if you ask me
Please do Mizuki module!!
You really did what community wanna see.
Her skill 1 is so good in is2
Stealing credit for someone else's work? I thought you were better than this Ch'en.
Maybe Swire was the better choice for the head of L.G.D.
