The Junkers has a pleasing aesthetic that evokes the 1930s, but at $200K I don't see how that is superior to a $30K 1940s Piper J3 Cub with similar performance.
Thank you Junkers! What a beautiful aircraft. Classic looks - modern performance. I want one!
I am a "Tail Wheel Addict" and the Junkers satisfies my love for Tail Wheel and Vintage aircraft with the reliability of modern engine and avionics technology. It also gives me my open cockpit fix. My next question is what does it do for heat in the colder weather? I recently flew a TL Stream and it is Rotax-powered with the standard "air" heat but also has heated seats that are quite effective.
I need the Junkers to cruise the California (Southern) beaches on warm days. Thank you.
The Junkers is useful only for joy and beauty. As such it is valuable.
The P Mentoris the ticket. I love the ideal to have the LDG handle, here a human factor item, fly safe.
great segment......
The P-Mentor, for sure.
As an alternative to the P-mentor I'm considering the Elixir which also has IFR cert. It's a far more innovative, modern and safer design.
The Elixir looks amazing but they don't seem very interested in the US market. Zero presence here ☹️
Why is a T-tail is a safer design?? Probably it has lower g-rating...I mean I like the design and some features (AOA ind., d.slotted flaps...) but other than getting a bunch of money from the EU and the Airbus they have not much to show for yet...
Oh yeah, I’ve got to have a Junkers!
Cool.
👍
Interesting to see the future of USA GA here. If you have 6.5 million, you can get a technological cockpit update version of something otherwise about 50 years old. At least turbines are still evolving a bit.
You also get to see a 2 seat trainer flying on a grass field which is trying in every way to save money, but will likely fail to unseat the antique 172 thus again reinforcing the idea that innovation doesn’t pay in GA when entrenched competition has every advantage.
Finally, there’s an expensive gimmick as a symbol of total surrender to Big Brother and the airlines.
Denali is a six place?
😇👍
Seatbelts in the lav, so you can legally 💩while taking off and landing…..
Cessna blew it with this shitty Deeeenaaaaliiii, just a poor copy of PC12
Were you expecting Cessna to innovate? 😂 🤣
It appears to be a Beech, not Cessna. It certainly has all the earmarks of a copy of the competition -- even the engine. The PT6 is the industry leader in turboprops that size with 60 years of continuous improvement and a support network that covers the entire globe. GE bought a Walter engine which itself was a copy of a PT6 and added their own technology. Is it good enough to overcome the support network and reliability of the PT6? I wouldn't spend my money on it. Perhaps in 25 years or so, but PWC ain't sittin' still.
@@RedRoosterParty New PC12 is advertized at 290 Knots & this new, smaller at 285 , cessna is behind.
The Gogetair G750 is far more interesting although it may not technically have launched in USA yet. The Junkers is fun to see but it should never have been made. It's misplaced devotion to the past which robs us of the future. A mindset that would never have resulted in flying in the first place.
Hopefully this time next year we will be talking about interstellar starships if israel and evil cohorts don't end the world before then.
