    I assume you've gone ahead and punched all those rivets to detail the piece, but if not (or for anyone else considering it), just buy "half pearl" beads from Poundland / Hobby Store / Cheapo Store and glue them straight on. They come in sheets of 50 or 100 and cost £1 / $1.
    (Edit:) I've just seen the date this was posted. Where's the "Here's how it all looks now I've finished building and painting it" video? 🙂

    Great vid. Paper clips. Snip them and bend them out or whatever, glued in place and painted looks like mini pipe work around the legs if you do it well. Thanks for the vids 👍🏻

    It's a shame TTcombat haven't made an optional laser cut card texture pack, they have card detailing on some of their kits. Great to hear your plans, the rivets should add a lot to the look. Awesome vid fella!

      I would get in contact with them and see if they can make a texture pack.

      they are pretty talkative and open to ideas - so worth asking - agree that a texture pack would be nice!

      I'll add it to The List!

      They do have card texture sheets for the Death Quadrant (zone mortalis) and power plant buildings that I've bought from them. Like the rivet punch plan.

      kiblams dude. U could scan the sprues. Put m in paint. Trace the lines. And put m in your silhouette. Then ykur machine cuts you a copy you can mod as a detail pack.

    Great video, and I am looking forward to seeing the other buildings. And the results of your painting and adding extra details.
    I would not use cheap PVA to glue them. Becareful with the water content of the PVA. You want one with little water content, otherwise you will get warping. You could seal the pieces with a Sanding Sealer or MDF sealer while the pieces are on their "sprue". TTCombat sell their own MDF sealer. And you can get away with using the cheap PVA after sealing.
    I bought some Gorilla Wood PVA glue and their Gel Superglue for my TTCombat MDF terrain. Need to finish building the cyberbunker. And rectify some warping from using cheap PVA glue. I am consindering using Rust-Oleum Black Granite spray paint, then giving it a coat of Mod Podge Gloss. I might have to seal the piece before spray painting, and painting the glyphs. I kept the sheets of MDF "sprue" to test out spray painting them.

      i've been given / advised with a few primers which apparently work well enough as a sealer - but i'll be using a watered down filler which apparently also works and will give a nice rusty texture. If it doesn't work though - i'll let you know and document it! xD

    Looking forward to your painting of the model as I have no idea what im going to do with mine at the minute.

      At the moment the plan is - Watered down filler for adding texture - Then Rust colored brown base spray / Primer - Then cover it with a few acrylic washes that are just a mix of 3x standard rust browns - Finally add some detail with an oil wash. Will have to see how it goes! - Tempted to try and pick out some parts of the structure to look like concrete but I think that might be too much time consdiering how much I have. Will keep you updated.

    Still not totally sold on MDF terrain, but I'm inching ever closer - this stuff does look really brilliant for the cost, and very practically designed.

      let's be honest - if money grew on trees we would all have 10x Airbrushes and a Sector Mechanicus board 3 foot high :D

    Just seen this review Hydra and I know what you mean about the flimsy legs. I have a laser cutter and would use 3 layers of mdf to get depth to those legs and details could be scored into it to get detail.

    • @AirsickHydra

      +Craig Birks since being glued its improved somewhat. Also tried some other structures and they are far more stable for sure.

    • @craigbirks7075
      @craigbirks7075 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeh it was more the aesthetic look than stability

    • @AirsickHydra
      @AirsickHydra  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Craig Birks yes. Can't argue with that. It's not got a lot of meat on the bones. Although the railings help a little to pad it out.
