Great video Katie 😍 Love your progress on „Oh Joyous Day“ - it’s such a great stitch 😊 Since I mostly just read romance - I vote for „Funny Story“, so maybe I can participate this time 😊
Hi Katie! Thanks for another great video :) The owl and coffee piece is coming along so nicely, and your BBD stitch is gorgeous 😍 So glad you had the opportunity to visit Salty Yarns again! I was sad to miss the book club last week and hope to attend the next. My vote is for Queen Sugar. Have a great week! 💜
Thanks for watching, Caitlin! I just watched your first video the other night but haven’t commented yet, but you did great! I hope you can make it for the next book club 😊
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. I am working on Let Love Reign by Teresa Kogut for my Summer project. I am hoping for a finish by the end of the year. Funny Story is my vote
Hi Katie, thank you for the video, the book club, and the Sal. I really can't decide on the book, but I am going to select Whiskey When We're Dry. I would also like to join in on the Sal and again stitch on one of my WIPs, and that would be Newcastle Bouquet by Teresa Kogut. Can't wait to see what book is selected . Thanks again for everything.
I am really looking forward to starting Fairy Garden with you when summer starts! I enjoyed the Stitches and Pages zoom so, so much! Already excited for the next one. ☺️ Can’t thank you enough for hosting such a great book club & discussion. My vote is for Funny Story.
The book club has been wonderfully successful, Katie. Congratulations. I love your progress on Oh Joyous Day and plan to make it my focus when I finish Chester’s Place. I may have missed the deadline for voting on the next book. I worked on Courage by Cottage Garden Samplings while I watched today. ❤❤
Hi there - beautiful stitching! I want to start You Got This. I picked up the pattern a few months ago and seeing yours stitched up is making want to kit it up. Great fabric choice! I really am enjoying the book club. I vote for Funny Story for our next read. Thanks for organizing it!
Hey Katie! Glad to see you start your baseball stitch … I still want to stitch that one too :) Thank you for the book recommendations, great variety … my vote is for Funny Story. I have yet to read Emily Henry and here’s my nudge to do so 😊 Thanks for sharing!
You are making wonderful progress in Oh Joyous Day. I am thinking that with all the floral patterns I have that I will at least do a start along with Fairy Garden. I think I visited Salty Yarns years ago, at their old location, of course. I was thrilled to find a cross stitch shop at the beach. For Stitches and Pages, my vote would be for Funny Story.
Glad you’ll be starting along with the SAL! It’s going to be fun. The new location for Salty Yarns is so big! I’ve heard it’s huge compared to their old shop.
All the books are interesting and I’m already hoping the young girl finds her brother so my vote is Whiskey When We’re Dry. Any of the books would be great to reads though, good choices Katie!
Hi Katie! I always get a little excited when I see you have a new video up. Your Oh Joyous Day is coming along nicely. I love the colors and your You Got This with the owl is so cute. I just purchased Annie’s Keepers from Chantelle’s 141 Design. They are a little pricey but I like the idea that you can hang all your floss drops in a file box and you can get labels for dmc with the color and number on them. They also have these labels CCW and Weeks. Right now my floss is just thrown into different boxes depending on the floss type. I vote for Funny Story. I am a sucker for romance.
Fabulous stitching, as always! I was sad to miss out on the first Zooms. I love Emily Henry and haven’t read Happy Place yet. I think that’s my top vote. The City We Became is second choice. Have a great day!
You talked about getting a sewing machine for your birthday. I just replaced my machine after about 30 years of having it. I highly recommend the Brother HC1580. I bought it on Amazon. It is beginner friendly, but also has so many stitches including some numbers and letters. I like solid build and the LCD screen.
I was bummed I couldn’t make the zooms, but so happy it went well! I think I’ll start Summer Solstice by the Artsy Housewife for your garden Sal. -Stephanie
Great progress on your WIPS, Joyous day will be finished before you know it. So much going on here lol, will need to see if can find a garden pattern or has the word garden in the title and try to join in the book club too, my vote is for Funny Story as can use something light in my life right now
Katie, I sewed my first pillow stitch a couple months ago. I followed a video by Primrose Cottage, and it turned out pretty darn good. The only advice I have is to stay focused and go slow. I went a little haywire at one point and had to unpick some stitches. It was fun overall! Queen Sugar sounds good to me although I am interested in all of them! Thanks Katie😊??
Great choices this month for the book club, of the four my choice would be Queen Sugar. Unfortunately I missed the discussion on A Single Thread last month I enjoyed the book. I did add One Stitch at a Time to my pattern collection. I just picked it up at Hobby House and I'm just like you cross stitch shops can overwhelm me especially when people are waiting for me. I know my husband doesn't mind waiting it just makes me nervous lol...
Love your WIPS - Very Pretty Colors. I keep my DMC on Plastic Bobbins and in Floss Boxes. I have a Master Set Of DMC. It is very simple and easy to just open a Floss Box - grab the one I need and close it. I don’t have to go through a whole bunch of Hanging Threads to get to the one I need. Each of my Projects has their own Floss Box. Each Project is in its own Bag. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🧵🪡🧵❤️
I'm so sorry I missed the Zoom meeting. I would have liked to hear the different opinions about certain parts of the book. I know exactly how you feel about having people with you in a cross stitch shop. It takes concentration to shop and time, plenty of time. But it looks like you got some really nice things. For the next book I vote for Queen Sugar. The story and the location sound very interesting. I think I just might have something in my stash that I can stitch with it. Thanks very much for your video and the book suggestions.
I have my floss stored on Atom Heart floss bobbins, and I’m very happy with them. I very much enjoyed the book club, and look forward to the next. Thank you so much for organizing, hosting, & leading. My vote for the next book is The City We Became
I’m thinking I’m going to do your Sal…. It will be my first… confession, I had to look up when the first day of summer is🤦🏻♀️… hey, I’m in Texas it’s summer all year long…lol
Hi Katie - Of the 4 options, I think Queen Sugar sounds like a perfect summer read. Very much enjoyed reading A Single Thread. Excited to see which one is selected!
Great idea to bring some diversity to the ball game! I also love the colours on 'Oh Joyous Day'. Thank you for creating the book club Katie... I really enjoyed the zoom meeting, reading the 1st book and my stitched piece! I think I would like to read Queen Sugar this time ("A mother-daughter story of reinvention" sounds good to me!) and I already have a couple of ideas of what I could stitch for it! LOL
Great to see you, and I had just sat down after walking my dog, and your video came up. Perfect timing. I finished my book club stitch, Home of a Needleworker. A great pattern. I will look through my patterns and see if I have a garden themed pattern. I am thinking Funny Story appeals to me.
Your projects all look great. Queen Sugar is my vote.
Love the Fairy Garden, it’s now on my to do list, my book vote is for Queen Sugar 😊
Love seeing all your progress! I vote for Funny Story.

Thank you!

Thanks, Pauline! 😊 I’ll have to look it the Annie’s Keepers. And so far Funny Story is winning, so we’ll see how he votes go!
Fabulous stitching, as always! I was sad to miss out on the first Zooms. I love Emily Henry and haven’t read Happy Place yet. I think that’s my top vote. The City We Became is second choice. Have a great day!

I’m so looking forward to learning how to make a pillow! I’ll check out that video when I get my sewing machine.

Glad you finished the book club stitch!
Fun stitches! I know what you mean about shopping at lns with "non stitchers"!
It’s hard! They’re supportive but they don’t quite get it 😂
Funny Story is my vote! I also like Emily Henry.
Funny story is the book that appears to me.
Have you picked a summer book yet?
Not yet! I’m filming today after work and will have a Flosstube extra announcing it, so check back this evening
