    With onboard DSP-tuning, X-ART ribbon tweeters, and Multi-layer Mineral speaker cones, Adam Audio A series monitors are an exceptional choice for project studios. Check out the AV4 and AV7 today at Sweetwater 👉 imp.i114863.net/b3zPgx

    Got these during Gearfest.I'm in a small home studio.I was concerned that the 4in.woofer wouldn't produce good bottom end.It does.The A4V fills the room with great sound.Still have to print the SonarWorks onto the monitor.To help fix the room.Having the SonarWorks printed on the speaker DSP. And not having to run it through the computer but once,was a big selling point for me.I had AX-7's at 1 time.I really like the sound of the ribbon tweeters.These are great for tracking and listening to music on.

    Regarding the title of the video: they're called the A series, not to be confused with the AX series, which are now discontinued.
    Edit: title is corrected now 👍

    When using a Sonarworks correction file with the internal DSP, is the correction done with a linear phase processor?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello - great question! ADAM let us know the implementation of their DSP is not linear phase, but optimized for low latency.
      Give us a call and we can get into more detail. Thanks!

    Regards 🙏

    • @saentum
      @saentum 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. These are powered studio monitors with, hopefully, a flat response therefore are not suited for home heater use. Also, a home theater has its own amplifier so you simply cannot use these speakers.

    I’m thinking about making myself a home studio next year in Milwaukee. Which ones would I need for a home studio?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Luke, great question! The size and arrangement of monitor that you need will vary on the size of room you have and the style of music you are making. For example, if you are producing R&B and Hip Hop you may want a larger speaker like the A7V that has better low end, but if you are in a small room, the extra low end could build up and become problematic so the smaller speaker may work out better. I would love to help you pick out the right pair of speakers, just give me a ring!

    I wouldn’t upgrade to these from the a7x’s, but they’re a good introduction to the Adam audio ecosystem if you’re looking for new monitors. That’s my take away from these. Especially the sonar works built in room correction, that’s mega.

  • @ronedwards8239

    More of a 2D sound. The A4V has a nasty dip at 1K do to the front port cancellation. The A7V does not have this issue per Adam. I don’t get the UNR function. Why would you want to emulate old discontinued products that this is replacing? What they should have done is emulate a high end HiFi speaker. That would provide other uses for this speaker and to check mixes on. That being said, they hav3 a lot to offer. I would stick with the A7V.
