- This is my initial impressions review of Thursday Boot Company's wax jacket (March 2024). I got size Medium in the color Khaki, and I'm very happy with it so far.

I unboxed this same jacket today. Feels great and looks good on.
I am 5' 7" tall and about 75kg / 165lbs The size - M - perfect fit arm & body length.
Hopes this helps somebody with sizing.
Great review of a very nice looking jacket. Love the colour, it’s really showing great wear already. I’d love to see how it looks after a few months. But I’m a big fan of your Barbour Ashby. It looks great on you. Barbour really seem to know how to make a practical jacket with lots of thoughtful details. And their hardware is reassuringly heavy and well made.
Thanks!! And yeah you’re right, Barbour really has the design perfected. If I HAD to own only one jacket, it would be a Barbour. There’s nothing it can’t do, and it goes with many styles.
The jacket is made in Portugal , it may be high quality , but it still has the made in USA price , it's a valid argument that the price is off .
Hmmm I think perhaps you're assuming some things about wages and quality of life in Portugal?Not saying your argument is wrong, but I wouldn't be too hasty to conclude everything made in USA is 1. better 2. way more expensive to make. You could very well be right, but I think more exact research is required. I'd be interested to know why Thursday outsourced to Portugal. It may be, as you're suggesting, that manufacturing in Portugal saved a bunch of cost. Or it could be something like they found it easier to make business connections there cuz foreign factories are easier to work with (as there are substantially less textile manufacturing facilities in the US than there used to be). I have no idea. Anyways, thanks for the comment; you're spot on with approaching the price with a critical eye.
Looks great! Good alternative to the trucker denim jacket which is way too common. Looks more functional too.

Tbh i love that the inside pocket is on the right, im left handed and always hate the laft side pocket 😂 great review though, i might have to pick this up soon!
😂yeah I guess I’m sorta right-hand-centric. Sorry haha! I’m happy for you that this jacket breaks the mould. Better yet, jackets could have a pocket on each side 😆

Hey! They’re Warehouse 1001xx. It’s a high end repro of a vintage Levi 501 from 1947. They’re classic straight fit. They were raw when new, and now they have faded quite nicely after a year. I highly recommend that jean. You can watch a review I did of them here:

You can turn that jacket inside out and toss it into a clothes drier for 5 minutes to make it look like new.

Jacket is a copy. Reviews are favorable bc the TH-camr got it for free. This knockoff is an easy pass.
