Thanks :) I love seeing competitors, and I always thought Uptime Kuma was the top-rated option. However, you've introduced me to another awesome service I've been a subscriber for quite some time now, and you consistently highlight the most interesting tools. I really appreciate the way you explain things-it’s so detailed and engaging. I’ve heard some people mention issues with AI-related topics, but I always tell them they need to watch your full videos. They’re often not fans of AI, but I think your content could change their minds if they take to time to watch the entire thing
Hello ! Seems really nice tools to complete the stack of monitoring ! Thanks for sharing it ! (Love your videos btw) Just to complete : it’s not OpenAI API key but OpenAPI key : it’s just for using the data from an API request rather than the UI. It’s not AI
I would really like to find a way to get stats from all of my self-hosted containers using this. I will be looking into this setup. I recently dropped using Uptime Kuma so this might be a good replacement.
Tried to install it behind a Traefik without success :'( All of my services are running on HTTPS and Browser prevent mixed-content, so it block if I try to access the tracker via http :( Such a shame; the idea is nice but probably not mature enough.
I've installed it 4 times over the past few days and admin/admin has always worked for me. are you accidentally re-using a database volume from a previous install that you tried earlier and changed the password on?
@@DBTechYT this is a unknown issue also I faced, I also change the PostgreSQL host location with new director but same issue admin/admin not working ... don't know why ...
@moatazezzat7517 @DBTechYT got the solution. A very funny incident has happened.. It was blocked by the Internet security. Don't worry about it, just disable it and carry on. Solved the problem d
depends on what you want out of your setup. If you only want uptime monitoring, then I'd go Uptime Kuma (version 2 is in development now). But if you want analytics, uptime monitoring, server monitoring, and the other stuff that Tianji offers, then I'd consider Tianji
Nice, but please... it's apprise, not app-rise 😉 it literally says that on their Github ap·prise / verb To inform or tell (someone). To make one aware of something.
@DBTechYT keep up the good work, you're on my weekly list of regular fixes. LMK if you ever wanna do a tour of subscriber homelab services, I'd happily give you a tour of what I'm hosting (UK based btw)
I actually did a homelab series where I featured user-submitted homelabs for a while, but it just didn't do well and people stopped submitting their homelabs after a while.
excuse me? why does it ask for a API key from chatgpt? just wasted my entire setup for some stupid A.I... you should have mentioned this at the start of the video... thinking this would be better then uptime kuma but no.. they dare to use stupid A.I
If you watched the full video you would have seen my workaround for that in the Docker-compose file. You don't HAVE to use it or even give it a realy API key.
it´s for you to have analytics on you own sites or for you costumers. could be for billing or delivery purpose, or just insight on content you make. But guess you din`t understand that?
I hate comments like this. You're obviously entitled to your opinion, but you don't say WHY you think the project is junk. You just make a blanket statement with no details. If you're goint to leave a comment like this, or if you're going to say "this is amazing", tell us WHY you think that. Your explanation might actually be helpful for others. "Total junk" doesn't tell anyone anything.

Thanks for your compose file. I used that and had no problems.
How does it compare with uptime kuma?
hard to say. rumore is that uptime kuma 2 is coming soon. try both platforms and see which one you like better
@@DBTechYT Well not a rumor its in beta for some time now. SO i guess its not far away from being released
I'm confused. I was expecting an explanation for why a dashboard needs OpenAI-access. What is the api key used for?
I didn't cover it because there's nothing about it on the API page: tianji.msgbyte.com/api
I think it's there for later as the app is developed.
Makes sense. Maybe it has something to do with the survey part?
I would really like to find a way to get stats from all of my self-hosted containers using this. I will be looking into this setup. I recently dropped using Uptime Kuma so this might be a good replacement.
I followed the guideline. But I don't why problem from container. :(
After again with your video. It's working
It requires API key from chatgpt to start. Cannot see this to run in professional env..
You saw my workaround for that right?
Tried to install it behind a Traefik without success :'(

This runs on top of Traefik, so trying to add this *behind* Traefik is going to cause issues.
@ argh :( I will have to move away from the docker setup I suppose
Very neato, thanks.
thanks
i've tried it in my system
and admin/admin is not working !

thx for the video,
All these Shadcn applications that look the same :(
Big thank bro
Well... To summarize, what's the best Uptime Kuma or Tianji in your opinion?)

thanks for the clarification. I'll keep that in mind in the future :)

almost same uptime kuma
But this has more features at the moment
excuse me? why does it ask for a API key from chatgpt? just wasted my entire setup for some stupid A.I... you should have mentioned this at the start of the video... thinking this would be better then uptime kuma but no.. they dare to use stupid A.I

Total junk what a wasted video
