I hope that future sound technicians employed by the Jaipur Literary Festival will be better than the one who was in charge of this recording. Or, perhaps, they could invest in a decent Equaliser. The constnt ringing is rather annoying.
Wilde should have been protected by double jeopardy rules --- getting off the 1st charge was enuff. He was killed by being put in prison, however, 2 years at hard labor was considered a death penalty by most experts at that time. But Wilde tripped in prison and injured his mastoid bone or "earbone" which became infected. This injury plagued him post prison-- and he died from it; w/o amoxicillin-- his head exploded with his death covering the death-bed assembled with putrid puss. But Wilde's demise was he was manipulated into defending homosexuality against "family" values-- as a position before the Bar; and it is worth it to note that he would have lost this same fight today. The SofMU Socialism was a suberb political treatise. Agreed.
