Ring of Steall Skyrace 2022

The Salomon Ring of Steall Skyrace™ follows in the tradition of skyrunning, which consists of uncompromising mountain running, such as scrambling along mountain ridges with steep ascents, traverses and descents on technical and challenging terrain.
This skyrunning race route incorporates two lofty ridges within the Mamores, including the Devil’s Ridge, which provides a thrilling and airy traverse with Glen Nevis visible ahead and as a yawning drop far below, and Ben Nevis beyond and towering above.
Our race route is set within the Mamores, which are an east - west series of majestic Munros (Scottish Mountains over 3,000ft / 914m) and in this route there are four that will be summited. The Salomon Ring of Steall Skyrace™ was an immediate hit when it launched in 2016 and has already established itself as a classic skyrunning event.

Hardest race I’ve ever done, went from boiling to frozen in 10 minutes (hands went numb trying to zip up my jacket ) .Blew my legs on the first big decent and could only run on slight uphill or the flat by the time I reached the long slope to the finish.Two years with intermittent injuries ( started with a metatarsal) and the old dude thinks this was a good way to speed up recovery .Never look at a course without noting the climbing lol.

Great footage. I signed up for this years but never showed up. Unfinished business. I have the seven sisters in Ireland next September. Very similar terrain for 55k. Have to get myself back for this though

it's a chest-mount with GoPro 9, works best for me. stabilisation corrects most of my movements..
