I love the fact that with the modern era of people are going back to music from the 90s and 80s and especially with songs that resonate with them either on a mental, emotional or even physical level and think “damn this is amazing” and for someone who has a mom and dad that sometimes bust out their catalog of music when it comes to cleaning, I’m glad I tapped back to this music. Even now this song resonates hard given the current climate and with this line “nothing ever last forever” hits harder as an adult than a teenager or kid

I've heard it said that the 70's/80's are back with everything that's going on now, be it local, national or global. The music of that time reflected their mentality which now reflects ours just as well. Also, movies and TV shows using them gives them that extra layer.

This songs reminds me when i was with my father on the "brand new" second hand car he bought... i was like 13? Before my parents divorced and I was just in the car trying to be comfortable with the heat of the day and this song playing in the radio... oh I miss those days
Being a late 2000s kid I grew up in the 2010s. The 80s nostalgia was huge then. And I have parents who grew up in the 80s. I always heard songs from the 60s-2010s growing up thanks to my grandmother, mother, the internet, and the radio. But I mainly listened to 2010s and 80s music because I lived with my mom. I always find this song nostalgic since I listened to it and others growing up as my mother did. I have plenty of memories of it. They bring me back to a better time. Thank you mom for letting me listen to such wonderful music when I was growing up.

This song reminds me of my teacher. I don’t have him sadly this semester. It’s upsetting as he was my favorite teacher, I remember him telling us he listened to this song. I’ll miss him a lot.

This song takes me back to Saints Row 2, as a kid I'd love that game, played it for monts on end. I remember purchasing the Penthouse loft for $40,000 and then hearing that song on the radio up on the loft. Good times. Especially after hearing one of the Saint's wannabes yell "Let's get drunk and eat chicken fingers!".
I've just finished Saints row 2 and it's one of the greatest game I've ever played.

I always get told by people i am a fool for wanting to live in the 80’s because "the internet made everything better."
but the internet is bear bones useless if it is the exact thing making you and everyone else unhappy.
Back in the day enjoying the music you had was far easier
you could appreciate music a lot faster than now, because you paid for it so you had too force yourself to like it, you also had more quality music because unlike today back in the 80’s it was more quality over quantity because good shit wasn’t overshadowed by millions of low tier shit.
You also had it easier to get friends to socialize with and do shit like enjoy the music with them with something like a boom box outside.
Most of the stuff the internet provides is useless because the internet also takes away the one thing you really need to enjoy these things, a life with happiness, purpose and reasons.
So i would still give up the technological convenience for changing me and my family’s life to have been in the 80’s instead of today because at least here in the west the 80’s were a largely more chill time especially as a teenager.
For many of the older fucks technological convenience is great because all of you mostly had the luck of growing up in times were everyone was not a phone zombie, and experience the actual important things that the internet took away from us
A actual life in real life, with no addiction from corporate bozos holding you back with technology
See i have the bad luck of being a person who exactly likes 90% of the stuff that people had in the 80’s and 90’s things that even if i did them today would not be as fun or not hit the same

Technology doesn’t do shit when it also makes you unhappy, the only thing making this world more bearable is if someone erased the internet and phones from existence so people were forced to like and look each other bare bones in the face and realize we are living in the real World.
I hate it, i hate the fact that i can’t live life anymore without having to use something related to the internet, everything now is reliant on it…all my friends, family and so on are reliant on it, i can’t do shit without the internet intruding in my life.
