I also filmed alot of my AHS Roanoke opening in the Lost Colony Theater area as well.
An Episode of Matlock was filmed at this theater. Andy Griffith grew up in Manteo I believe. He actually performed in the Lost Colony play in his younger days before he became a well known actor.
