Heya, i have soms tips for velvet!
So basically, there always has to be 2 definate people at water, aka 2 people doing that track only. The other 4 people go to land. There is one front land, 2 people in the midland and 1 at the backland. The best land loadout i see everywhere is Pineberry, matcha, bacon, rouqefort, caviar and meringue. For water, the loadout that works the best for me is Pineberry, matcha, bacon, caviar, eggnog and flan or ube. One water person can also switch bacon out for candycorn or sushi if they want, and then both waters share one bacon. One person doing water brings flan, the other brings ube. I know they seem bad, but they do a LOT on velvet together. Now placement at water. Flan and Ube are usually placed first, on one of the 3 islands at the beginning of the track. Ube is on the very edge (the light pink part) closest to the track. He reaches at level 2. Flan is right next to him. Behind the islands, the first huge chunk of land is where EVERY water unit goes. Caviars are placed on the very edge all around. Eggnogs go right behind the caviars usually, and matcha and bacon behind them. Pineberry goes right behind matcha and bacon to get the buffs. Sushis (if they were brought) can either go next to matcha and bacon on each side, or they can go on the spare islands. Candycorn (again, if she was brought) usually goes on the small pillar beside the other chunk of land for placing bears (although thats usually just to place temporary bears for leaks). And one tip for land, Candy corn isnt recommended for it, but if she is brought she is best at back land. Water usually has flan and ube at level 4 or 5 by wave 25 or 30, and caviars level 3 by that time. Matcha and bacon can get maxed whenever. Eggnogs get to level 3 around wave 25 or 35 as well, and every pineberry, including the ones on land, are usually level 3 or higher by wave 30 in order to do more damage to Velvet Griff. Sushis and candycorns can get maxed whenever to prevent leaks on the water track. By wave 40, most of the caviars are maxed for the Leviathan, with level 4 or higher matcha, bacon and Pineberries to help do more damage. Everything usually gets maxed before or at wave 50. For land, focusing on Rouqefort, matcha, and bacon for early game works quite well. Later Pineberries get to 3 or above (for griff like i said already). Meringues are usually focused on last, but can be upgraded before some caviars.
That's all the tips i have from playing velvet a lot, so i hope they help!
You dont have to use all of them, but the tips I mentioned usually get me pretty far in velvet.

One tip is that rember to bring egg nog ube and flan and candy corn to battles here they can really help
