    Yes. You have to renounce American citizenship to get rid of the IRS.

      Most absolutely correct, and well known by lawyers and bankers and investors for decades of years.

    What if I have a business in the US. We are a marketing company. It’s a partnership.
    Can I renounce my citizenship and still remain a partner and not get taxed like my business partner?
    Or would I have to dissolve the partnership/business, start the business in the new country and have my partner start his own company in the US? And then his company pay for my company services?

    For people who are mainly crypto investors is it better to renounce and move to Malaysia or to live in Puerto Rico?

    I pay NO tax except VAT on goods i buy. I could also get that all back if i would go for it. Then i would be literally tax free. But virtually all of my other affairs are untaxed. Legally. Great. ( yes i pay tranfer tax when moving property around. A little over 3 %)

    Isn't Puerto Rico a better option for U.S. Citizens who don't want to renounce over Dubai and other low tax jurisdictions?

      Makes no difference to IRS. If you are US citizen or resident they will tax you regardless of any other citizenships you have.

    Hey can u do a video about can you do a video about Argentina citizenship. The video must include birthright citizenship, Argentina child parents naturalization, naturalization, permanent residency, the ways to get permanent residency, weather anyone can renounce the citizenship later, dual citizenship, tax residency, what type of tax residency Argentina has, corporate tax, living expense, climate, which place is best to live,

    • @matthewnirenberg
      @matthewnirenberg ปีที่แล้ว

      Why would any nomad capitalist want it? You can't renounce it, the country is a very socialist country with huge welfare expenditure and they've been talking about citizenship based taxation for a while. Nomad Capitalist has covered Argentina in many previous videos.

    Thanks to Obama, American citizens who live and work abroad must also pay a kind of citizenship tax back to the US. Essentially you get double taxed unless you renounce citizenship.

    • @BobKnight-mm2ze
      @BobKnight-mm2ze หลายเดือนก่อน

      You mean obama went back in time to 1864, and as a slave, proposed the idea to congress? Citizen based taxation for Americans, inside and outside the country, has been legal since 1913. It was made worse by trump's "tax cut and jobs act" of 2017. Good effort, I guess, in a smear campaign of a guy out of office close to NINE years. Any comments on Gerald Ford or Lyndon B. Johnson?

    Americans don't have to pay any tax if you understand trusts.

      Good luck trying to put your wages in a trust after working a month. Plenty of reason why that won;t work.

    I'M GETTING A FEELING A LOT OF PEOPLE WILL RENOUNCE U.S. CITIZENSHIP GOING INTO THE FUTURE.....😂😂😂😂

    • @matthewnirenberg
      @matthewnirenberg ปีที่แล้ว

      Then they'll continue to do as they've been doing recently - making it very hard to do so. Also note that just because you pay the fee and any "exit taxes", doesn't mean that they have to accept your renouncing. They can simply refuse to accept your renouncing and guess what? You're stuck as a US citizen. The more people leave, the more they'll clamp down.
      A good example is Australia's travel ban during the plandemic - officially it was for "health" reasons but in recent months, its been revealed that it was to "trap wealth in Australia because too many people were leaving". Ironically, Australia, since "dropping the travel ban" have done exactly what I said they would, they've kept the law they used to close the border (a complete travel ban) but they've expanded the default "exemption" to permit anyone to travel who isn't considered a threat to Australia.
      Note that "a threat to Australia" specifically includes "large wealth or businesses leaving the country". Basically, if you're well off in Australia, you're trapped unless you want to leave your wealth or business behind and if you do so, you're stuck in the Australian tax net until that wealth and/or business leaves the country or goes to nothing.
