    I loved your fabric choices - I always have a shopping basket going on Minerva now can't wait to do more shopping. Great video - thank you.

    Great ideas. I wish schools taught sewing. My grandmother taught me to sew on her ancient Pfaff treadle machine which i eventually inherited and my mother sold to a Zambian tailor when she left Zambia. I bought my own sewing machine 10 years later and have continued sewing 90% of my clothes, curtains, cushions etc. Most of these patterns are easily adaptable from basic patterns. Making your own patterns is so much fun and it all comes down to your choice of fabric fir the uniqueness if your clothes.

    Melody Tunic is one of my favourites … it’s such a good fit. Also, Jane shirt, which I’ve hacked into a dress.

    The high collar dress at 12:50 is very interesting. Difficult to find a pattern like that.

    Is the John Kaldor crepe made of cotton, rayon, or polyester, or a mixture of more than one kind of fibre?

    • @MinervaDotCom
      @MinervaDotCom  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Chris, the John Kaldor Crepe fabrics shown in this video are made from polyester, however we do have crepe fabrics made with alternative fibres available on our website.

      @@MinervaDotCom Thankyou for your response. We used to have John Kaldor fabrics in Australia but I haven't seen them for about 30 years. They were poly/cotton or cotton.

    Had to laugh at #1 as "flattering"--not when you have a big bust & hips & less than 6' tall--anything loose & flowy is a tent & non set-in sleeves only makes you look bigger 😅. But the dress you're wearing is lovely & flattering!!
