When I saw this product, that is immediately what I thought. I went straight to my 64 and took measurements of the motor to check against the specs of the mini fusion. I’ll definitely be putting this in both mine.
@@matthewbroshears7644 heck yeah! You were thinking ahead. I just ordered it cause I knew I’d find something to put it in. Once it arrived I was like DUH! The impala! Glad it worked out so well. I may have to order another for the other one now lol
Love this release. The Capra UTB18 was my favorite release last year. We have a huge UTB18 population in Utah. The performance, upgrades, and potential for the size is great.
Besides me and my friends utb I have never seen another out here in Vegas. We dont run them often but when we do it’s a treat.Very fun to crawl around the rocks with very very little upgrades.just brass portals in the front.
Thanks for the review! I planned to install the HobbyWing 1080 G2 ESC but the Mini16 seems to be a better option. Eliminating that annoying whine from the stock ESC/motor combo is worth it for me to install the Mini16 in my ‘64 Gold Digger. That slow drive creep function is a definite bonus. Cheers from the UK!
I have a question. My husband watches your channel all the time. We where just in the flood In north east Tennessee. All our RC stuff was in a room that got 6 inches of mud. Not sure if any of them even work now but Is it safe to use the charge charge the lipos after they have been water logged and dryed out?
@@TrishArmes-s8e wow! So sorry to hear this. I really appreciate you guys watching and glad to hear that you guys are at least ok. I think that I would try the lipos. I’ve ran them underwater before etc so I feel like they may be fine. I would maybe try connecting them outside and staying with them as they charge (I always do that) do you have a voltage checker? If they are showing a voltage on them I’d say they are fine. Hope you guys get everything lined back out and keep me updated 🙏
He lost 2 controlers his redcat everest 7 i just bought him off fb was destroyed. 2 Tires and motor are all that is left. The rest was smashed against the wall by mud along with my redcat ascent. Still can't find all the peaces to it. I guess mother nature hates redcat. Lost his good lipo charger but he still has some of the ones they come with. The 1/24 scale crawler stuff seems to held out. Most the batteries seemed to do ok 3 of them are ify he said. The only one left is the 1/10 stadium truck he got me. Either the motor or esc is bad he has to pull them apart to see. The drones and other stuff came out ok but it is what it is. Thanks everyone for the good wishes lesson learn don't leave RCs in the floor when u first move in to a new place..lol
I’ve always wanted to pull the trigger on the lowrider. I just don’t know if I would mess with it enough to justify the price. They sure look cool though.
@@jasonbecker4997 that’s a tough one. When we first got them we played with them constantly. Now not so much. I really could sell one and just keep one now. But they are fun. Just not a lot of use lol
@@2fmrc That’s kinda what I’ve been thinking. I would have a blast with it for probably a solid weekend, then I just don’t know how often I would run a battery through it. I have a couple other cars that I don’t use much. And I thought I would run them every chance I got.
Give us WiFi Redcat? You mean Bluetooth but I understand. Also I couldn’t hear the old motor sound because it sounded like someone was using a sewing machine during that part. 😂👍
@@jeffmackovitch9987 haha! Exactly! I’ve been playing with too many escape32 escs lately. They connect through WiFi on your phone lol. Had WiFi on the brain!
I reckon you could probably fit this in an SCX24 with the RCAWD 370 motor mount. That has 1/2" motor spacing I'm pretty sure, assuming that's what this Mini16 is.
7:49 That cat checking out the show tho!! 🙀😹
Glad someone made this video to help newcomers into RC like me.

Awesome Idea man, Slow and Low is where it's at with these things! Thanks for sharing, definitely got my interest!
@@RadRaf thanks for checking it out! I’m thrilled with the results. May need another for the other one lol
Works awesome in Grom, Losi and mini-b scale cars too. Just need to take it out of crawler config. This thing really is awesome.
That black '64 looks gorgeous! Love how smooth the '59 is though.

@@JUKE179r I absolutely love the mini16 in these cars! Only way to go! Thanks for being here!
I think I want to try it in the fms fj45
any luck? i have bought a 45 yet because I worried. I got the mini fusion it fits in nothing "mini" lol
Good idea matt I got a red cat bouncer to mite have to pick one of these up for it 🔥🔥😎👍
I got in on three of them when the first batch came out been loving them
I wonder if that motor will work in the element enduro12
Not sure. I’ve never owned one or really known anyone with one so I don’t know much about home unfortunately.
@2fmrc thanks. Btw love your videos and i get lots on info amd tips from you also
That’s my plan, I’ve got it already and will try the install soon. Need a with an EC2 connector
Works fantastic is the utb18. I'm sure it'll be great for you. It's a mini fusion pro with a bit more top end. Slow also

i wanna see this in a FMT24 (same size as stock motor), with heavier oil in the diffs. could be a sweet mini "do it all" rig
