When I went through,, boat considerable narrower, that was not a difficult rapid for my canoe. I went through each of the same line,, but straight through catching the tongue between each of the obstacles.. Excellent camera work. Excellent description. I learned just now. (I learned I was a luck SOB (you never met my mother?),, I skated through , touched nothing,, whereas I should have wrapped the canoe three or four times.)
@@RiverRatGearReview I suspect, more than a bit. Triplet was tough. Canoes do straight lines through,, but swapping sides of the river ?? Triplett hates straight line through. You must traverse across repeatedly,, and sideways canoes at 1,500 cfs,,, the rapids are just rock or boulder gardens with a lawn sprinkler wetting the tops. So many times I knee rolled the canoe up onto one side or the other to fit a 3.5 foot wide canoe through the 2 foot space. Nice stretch of river. The next time I do Dinosaur I want to try it with a raft. Easier to get over the rocks.
I figure video is probably the best tool outside of actually scouting the rapid to educate people on a particular line or run. I youtube scout all the time and figured I could make a video specific to a particular rapid.
I spent over an hour on the high side of a raft wrapped on the rock you must miss at the bottom of the rapid. The water level was slightly less than what's shown here.
