Great Southern Land

After seeing this video, I realized that anyone living in Australia that is thinking about visiting and/or moving another country...don't. Every place seen here looks a LOT like many places here in America, only far more beautiful. The countries I would move to if I could afford it would be England, Ireland, Canada, but mostly, Australia.

They were sent to Australia as servants to a moronic aristocratic class who thought they had the almost divine right to rule over others with cruelty and oppression. Since being sent to Australia all those years ago my family has flourished. We are now happy, healthy and wealthy beyond imagination. This video shows what a beautiful, progressive and amazing country Australia is and always will be. As a Swede, I remember my first (and still only) trip to Australia four years ago with great joy. I did especially find Tasmania amazing, despite being there during winter.

I migrated to Aus almost 25yrs back, love this country and totally in love with it till this day, proud to call myself an Australian now. Would give anything to protect and serve my home Aus, was born in a Muslim country but never was religious, love the diversity and multicultural nation I live in, freedom for all. I don't care about ones religious beliefs or background this is truly the nation for the free, might have started as a prison island but it has become a heaven for a lot of people. If only the politicians would pull their finger out of their bum we would be a lot better 😂😂😂
If you want to look at the people here and the mulitcultural part of Australia it is beautiful, I like to Carindale shopping centre in South Brisbane and I love to admire and chat to the many different nationalities and cultures that are there, I feel so good after leaving there that I'm writing this comment after not being there for many months.

When "Great Southern Land" was released as the first single from the Primitive Man album in 1982, a video for it was filmed in a disused sandstone quarry in the Kuringai National Park near Sydney. Then, in 1989, when the song met its first release as a single in North America and Europe, a new clip had to be made to accompany the overseas single. This time, the background Australian landscapes were provided by the Myall Lakes National Park on the mid-north coast of New South Wales. As befits the song, both clips were, of course, typically Australian in content, but the earlier one did feature a few Australian native animals, including a large goanna crawling across barren sandy earth. This latter typical Australian had obviously won many fans, since, when the new clip appeared there were quite a few appeals for "the one with the goanna."
