Appalachia has some beautiful places, but i was born and half raised in Southwestern Virginia in a coal camp. We moved North on my twelfth Birthday and i have missed the mountains ever since. I am seventy now and have great memories of the beautiful mountains i played in when i was a kid. The oldest mountains on earth and when you live there you feel it.
This is so beautiful that I watched it 3 times! Too bad I couldn't leave a 'like' for each time. Those flowers painted on the bridge abutment are such a stark contrast to the snow. I think the artist knew they would be...😍❄️
I moved away from West Virginia 5 years ago, (not far just 3 hours west) but i love it and i never thought id say that until i left it. It has its downfalls and probably struggles the worst out of most states but its home to me
I was born and raised in almost heaven WV, and I've left many times but I'm 34 and right back on a mountain top near Morgantown! Born and raised in the Kanawha valley ❤
Beautiful. Having grown up in southern Oklahoma I love snow. Now live in Kansas City but with the warmer winters it seems that we have the same amount of snow that we had in southern Oklahoma as a kid.
When you made that right on red onto Cabin Creek going under the under trestle I tightened up. Coal trucks take the entire road to make that turn, no turns on red at that intersection, the sign was likely covered in snow.
Hi Chris! My husband and I just moved from southern Minnesota to south of St Albans. Any advice on driving in these mountains?! I’m a little freaked as I’ve heard you get icy roads here too! Of course I know how to drive in Minnesota winter. But it’s mostly flat there, not many narrow winding roads. Especially where we lived. 🙏🏻Thanks
@@lindamarie1696 Most west virginians have summer tires and winter tires. Definitely helps and never follow the truck booming though, noone here gets upset if your going 5 mph in snowy conditions. Sometimes the salt trucks don't get out immediately or due to conditions won't run at all. Welcome to west virginia though!
That is the problem with videos from WVA. You always hope you will read comments from maybe other countries or states, but no, once again mostly the locals.

Beautiful! Thank you for sharing! 👍
It was one of the most beautiful drives I have ever driven.

Kanawha state Forrest I love it

Enjoying the ride, never seen so much snow.
We Texans hadn't either. It was crazy.

There is just no place like beautiful West Virginia
I like the music - what is it? Thanks.
We need more highways interstates and bridges in Princeton West Virginia
Next time you're in West Virginia you should visit the Nuttallburg Coal Tipple in Fayetteville
Burrrr... There's a reason I live in Florida. Give me a beach and the sun any day of the week.
Right. I was glad I saw it and enjoyed the experience as it was astonishingly beautiful. But at the end of the day I’m, like you, a warm weather guy.
Yes, but we sure as hell do not have Ida blowing in on shore. Screw that.
LOL, I see you dislike tolls too @Joe & Nic's Road Trip.
Hate them!
👍👍👍
Anyone known what the music is please? 🙂
could have done without it.
Exploring Fallout 76 for 700+ hours kinda makes me wish for a Nuclear Winter.
Love that game!
I drive these roads every single day. Work at a coal plant nearby.
The drive was absolutely beautiful, and my favorite so far. And I’ve driven coast to coast 4 times in the past 8 months.

Happy May Day to you as well, Tasos! 😃
@@JoeandNicsRoadTrip thank you!
Music or whatever you call it ruined the video.
