There is very few people that I liked more than Honey. I rescued her, she rescued me in some sense. She was around for the start of the business, came to work with me everyday until I let her “retire” a few years ago. She was with me the bulk of my adult life so there is a lot of great memories. Her other buddy Sasha is tore up some and seems like a lost puppy now. But yesterday was better than the day before and today was better than yesterday, we’ll be ok just sad she doesn’t get to come on anymore adventures. She was that once in a lifetime dog and that hurts. Enough of my rambling. I appreciate the condolences.
It’s a little bit of a rough time. Had 12 years with her, she had 15 total. Was the best pup. She was there with me pretty much my entire adult life, start of the business, came to work with me everyday until I let her retire a few years back. Will be missed for sure. We had a lot of fun times and adventures together. I’m just sad she’s going to miss out on the future ones.
Hey mate that’s an awesome start! 15 years with a dog is fantastic you’ll be lost without her sorry for your loss. There is a U.K LandRover company that does all the engine mounts etc for LS Conversion they are called Maker if that’s of any help? Love your channel and all you do! Why because I’ve the best sounding D4 in Australia!! Regards Toby
I might have forgot to address that in one of the videos. But it was actually just the frame rails that needed to be spread back out a touch with the crossmember. Probably from being strapped in shipping or being handled in the galvanizing process, the center has a long run without support when there is no crossmembers bolted in. So correct width crossmember in place made everything line up.
It has Discovery 1 axles swapped in, 24 spline vs the original 10 splines this Defender had. Then it has Ashcroft HD shafts with upgraded drive flanges. lucky8llc.com/collections/defender-hd-half-shafts-and-cvs/products/ashcroft-discovery-i-rrc-d90-heavy-duty-rear-half-shafts-kit

Yep, was lucky to have her. I’ll check them out. We will probably fabricate the mounts but never hurts to have options. Thanks!

Looks great, guys!
It is coming along. Should work out well.
We find in Aust that the trailing arms are swiss cheese so normally upgrade those thin rear bars to some after market arms.
Nice job - jealous of the gal chassis.
So sorry about Honey. Sweet dog.
Appreciate that. She was the best.
Sorry for your loss.

Did you guys keep the same differentials or swap them out? How does it do in 4x4?
It has a 24 spline set from a Discovery 1, then we fitted them chromoly shafts.
MAHKER U.K IS THE CHANNEL ON TH-cam
Appreciate the heads up
How did you end up resolving the bulkhead hole mismatch? Modify the chassis or bulkhead hole location?
