I can truly understand what you're going through right now because this was the same case in my pre boards. Go for CUET and Target the best university.
When I was unable to do self study I joined offline classes but then I soon realised self study is more important . So after that I left and focused on self study . Moreover the school teachers were very supportive.
All streams including humanities are tough in their own extent. You can't compare among these. And fyki , every single teacher and my parents forced me to take Science because they knew my capabilities, but I wanted to try something new.

Grace marks is only given when question is wrong or out of syllabus. But , I don't think this time any scenario was there like that.
