I used to work at in n out and the reason they make protein and tomato wrapped burgers is to accommodate to people. Some have gluten allergies or just want to cut on bread. The tomato wrap was mostly ordered by people that have gluten allergies, lettuce anafilaxis, or just don’t like lettuce. There’s more reasons.

When I found out I have gluten sensitivity, I was both happy and sad: happy that I finally knew what was shredding my insides, and sad that it meant having to possibly cut out wheat, rye, and barley entirely. But it was also the driving force behind me discovering the In-N-Out secret menu when I did -- and discovering, WOW!, how much I prefer "protein style" to a traditional bun.

@B D, I know most people feel this way but I hate condiments. I hate ketchup, mustard, Mayo, American BBQ sauces, vinegar unless it’s cooked down and salad dressing. They are repulsive to me. I can smell ketchup being opened in another room. If someone tells me “there’s only a little Mayo in it,” they may as well be telling me “there’s only a little feces in it.” I do not need that spread anywhere near my food. I’m good. But to each his own.

Former employee here, there's quite a bit more to the INO experience!
    - There are three more burgers that are on the secret menu, though they should probably stay hidden imo
    - The secret veggie burger and grilled cheese are just a meatless burger and meatless cheeseburger respectively, I personally don't care for either, though some of my former coworkers swear by the grilled cheese
    - Theres also a secret "Flying Dutchman" (I don't really want to spoil this one, its bizarre)
    - The lemonade tastes much better with 7-Up mixed in
    - The root beer is a 1/2 vanilla milkshake and 1/2 root beer, and you could swap flavors of ice cream, but idk why you'd want to
    - The "animal style" burger just adds grilled onions, pickles, and the burgers are fried in mustard, which makes the burger smell amazing, especially as its being cooked
    - There are two kinds of Americans, those that don't like American cheese, and those that are in denial
Anyways, I absolutely love both your channels! I hope you enjoyed your time in LA!!

Too much of California is people claiming things should be done right, but by other people while they look for personal or political loops so they can look like they support what’s right, but they do things wrong, but this restaurant is still family owned by people that feel they need to be the ones doing things right according to conviction and sincerely doing their best without expecting anyone to force them to do their best. They don’t play the excuses or comparison game, they simply, sincerely seek to do their best. It's literally made from melting different real cheeses together and adding about the same amount again of other things.
Some 'Processed American Slices' do not contain any cheese at all and are an oil based product.

I'm sorry but rootbeer floats are one of my favorite desserts. So I feel I need to tell you this. A general rule for a good rootbeer float is to eat the ice cream out of the float first. Then drink the rest. And preferably you want the rootbeer cold so that rootbeer ice forms around the vanilla ice cream. Then once the solid ice cream is gon you get the perfect mixture of cream to rootbeer making a perfect drink. So please try it again. But don't wait so long the ice cream melts. As you eat the ice cream it mixes in the melted stuff.

The "Double Double" and 4x4 reference how many burger patties and cheese slices you want. Rumor has it, you used to be able to get up to a 20x20, which is as many burgers as would fit on the grill. However, I think 4x4 is now the limit.
