A word of advice on those who're looking for screen protectors. Don't bother with the cheap plastic ones. Tempered glass is much better in every regard, not mention you can get them for about $10 on amazon.
The plastic ones are mostly for protecting the Switch. You can still get scratches on the protectors. I like the fact that i don't have to worry about permanently damaging my Switch screen, small scratches on the protectors are not a problem.

Fun fact: Both the Switch and Wii U Pro Controller use the exact same Li-Ion Battery the Original 3DS uses: The CTR-003 (1300 mAh / 5 Wh) So if your Switch Pro Controller Battery prematurely goes bad, you now know which device you need to sacrifice to get a replacement.

I'm playing through Black and White and I remembered you from back in the day with your BNGR reviews of each generation. Not a nintendo guy, but I'm glad you're still around, man. YCC Team's grip case is a life saver though. Never gonna use the switch without it.
Just picked up the messenger bag, but I gotta say, for a multipurpose grip case, satisfy does great, but Moomba is incredible. It's super comfortable and insanely protective if you get the heavy duty one
I love the 8bitdo controllers. Nice build quality for the price, it has most of the joycon features and it syncs easy to my Switch, PC and Android tablet. I ended up getting a SF30 amd SN30 versions.

Just an FYI, the case's card holder folds, allowing you to create a stand for your Switch ( I usually zip it a little bit to lock in). This will allow you to set your Switch on your lap so you can use you detached joy-cons or other controller.
I’m getting a switch for Christmas! I used to play Super Mario Bros on my DS when i was maybe 10 years old so i’m really excited about the switch, hopefully i have just as much fun with it as i did with my DS lol I gotta say, one of the things i’m most excited for is the accessories haha

I am too scared to use anything other than licensed Nintendo charging cables/portable power bricks. I've heard too many stories about how the switch ends up not working anymore because of it.
Same I bought my switch with it in mind. Only 3rd I found was 100% problem free was the Nintendo brand powerA joy con grip. And I love it. But those pdp and etc chargers and HDMI I just don't trust rn

OMGEE WHAT IF YOUR SWITCH DETECTS YOU USING THIRD PARTY ACCESSORIES AND THEY ARE LIKE NOPPEEE NOT TODAY SON... and then the switch starts to SLOWLY kill itself.
You can't damage anything with a normal USB A to USB C cable and a 5V 1A or 2A charger. The problem is too much power, such as from 20V Power Delivery (PD) and possibly the 3A chargers that go straight from the outlet to USB C. What i use is a normal Samsung USB phone charger that has a maximum of 2A (5V) and an Amazon Basics USB A to C cable. This gives it enough power to slowly charge while playing. Don't use a low current 1A charger or a USB A extension cable as these will not provide enough juice to keep up while playing.

1:50 Get the highest one that is affordable for you. IMO don't get a 64 GB SD card for your switch. Capcom Resident evil games that have digital codes ie RE revelations, it will eat 25 GB so you would need at least 128 GB if you want to buy more games that have a bunch of space to download.
you forgot to mention the Xenoblade controller is the only known Pro controller to have the d-pad issue fixed(this may have changed recently for all i know. mayhaps the Smash pro controller has the fix too.) if you dont know what the d-pad issue is, its a problem more noticed in something like Puyo Tetris where you can quick drop in tetris by pressing "up". more often than not it would accidentally read "left" and "right" as "up". im sure other games would run into a problem like this eventually if they havent already. i havent exactly played every game on the Switch.

Absolutely agree on the screen protector thing! I still find it odd that N went with plastic over glass, but whatever. Another thing to mention as far as the dock situation is concerned is a replacement dock housing. Basically, you'd rip the guts out of the dock and put them into a much smaller housing that doesn't cover the screen at all, AND is more portable (if that's important).
8:24 I don't think you're supposed to take the little thingy off. Pro controllers have a similar stand and require a similar thingy tucked into the back (though it's a hell of a lot less noticeable on the Procon) then you just drop it into the dock and it'll charge wirelessly. You're just supposed to have it always equipped and drop the ball in the socket

12:50 ... mine is extra bulky... but i use it on a regular basis. like it has plenty of room for extra controllers (though it has proven to be just barely not enough for a normal sized controller) and other accessories but i dont use it all that much. what i do use however is the built-in stand. my switch doesnt even stand up on that kickstand any more. it breaks off super easy. and im sure its the console not the stand because i lost my original stand and had to get a metal one.

Also, that white kickstand on your Switch, is it painted or did you get it from somewhere? I love little customisations so would love to change my own.
One of the most glaring problems that I have with the Pro Controller is the lack of a headphone jack. The PS4 has one and I really wish the Switch would do the same. Shame.

It's also that way with me and games. I have a 200GB sandisk ultra with only 66GB free, AND i have 14 cart games as well. That's just embarrassing.
I have the messenger bag for mine, and it comes with a case that's pretty compact. I also use the bag itself for everyday stuff if I'm not transporting all the console stuff.

I got silicone skins for $2 a set from China. They have alot of colors and it looks nicer than I thought it would. Bought a set if neon yellow, green and pink. Look on AliExpress and wait for a month and voila!

One useful thing about the keyboard thing is that it keeps the joycons further apart, on a regular grip they're too close and results in hand cramping..
I own the Satisfye grip and I love it! Highly recommended for any switch owner. Also when buying a screen protector, I got one that blocks blue light emitted from the screen. I’ve seen a decrease in eye strain and headaches from multiple hours of gameplay from this and would also encourage others to buy also. 👍

I have the Hori 24 games case and the grips are fine you are meant to lever it up from the side. Also the switch cases you got from your first travel case is likely smaller than the Gameboy case.
i know one thing, when that new joycon replacement comes out for handheld mode that looks like someone cut a pro controller in half ill be wanting a switch grip where the joycon section is separate so i can still have protection for the switch, even if ill only be ever using it at home or in the car
I don't think the Hori-cardridgeholder holds on to the cardridges too tight. It is pretty easy to clip them into and get them out of the holder. I'd rather know, my cardridges are fit tight in a holder then let them fly around a misused metal box As for a protection I actually like the Mumba slim one the most, it doesn't bulk up the system too much and goes well with my small girly hands. It also fits into the first case you've shown (the Zelda one)
While I was a bit skeptical at first, I really like the comfort grips for Nintendo Switch. They honestly feel so much better than the one that comes with the Switch.

12:27 That’s actually very similar to the case I use, the only differences are that the one I use is switch themed instead of Zelda themed and I tend to use the game cart cases that came with it. But aside from that are there any 3rd party docks that you use? (Aside from the one you tried to “build” on stream). And as some one who plays their switch 70% console 30% handheld I’ve been debating on whether or not I should get and external battery are there any that you’d recommend besides what you mentioned in the video or do you think I shouldn’t bother cause I don’t play in handheld mode enough?
Funny you say that because I've got the exact same Switch case that you have sitting just to the right of my computer. I can literally reach forward and touch it as I type this. xD Not a bad case imo, I use the zipper pouch to store the Joycon wrist strap things since trying to use the "triggers" while the controllers are sideways is actually the worst thing ever.
thatquirkyredhead I agree it is a useful case for the switch but I personally never use the joycon attachments because to me they feel cheap and I’m worried I may accidentally put them on the wrong way like most people did back when the switch first came out. (I have seen ways to remove the attachments if they were put on incorrectly but I don’t wanna try it myself)
Hey if you like slim cases for your Switch, get the one I have! Its a very slim hardshell case from TomToc. The red one I have is around $26 on Amazon. Can hold only the Switch and 8 physical game cards. Very slim and offers great protection.
Wait, about the hori pokeball plus stand, what do you mean you have to charge it twice? I just leave the adapter on and drop it in after I'm done, its about as streamlined as it gets. The adapter also helps for when you lose the stick's orientation from rolling it around in your hand.
The Satisfye grip is a god send for my hands. They used to cramp and I just couldn’t get the precision I needed for some platformers. The grip solved all of my issues, it’s easily the best accessory on the market. I also love the Pro Controller and the 8bitdo SF30 Pro as well.

I'm someone who personally prefers a bit of a larger case without being overly bulky. I have the Hestia Goods carrying case. It's thicker as I said, bu the thing is that it's sturdy._ I don't want to take _any_ chances with my system getting damaged, so it's perfect for me. Plus, it works well if I want to carry extra joycons or accessories since it's got such a large carrying area and lets you hold something like 24 games. The main reason I got it was because I got the starter kit carrying case and, while it works, my main concern is the elastic straps. My joycon sticks got caught on them and so I had to search for a case that didn't have them. Took me awhile but I did and I really couldn't be happier. Sure, it's plain black, but it works perfectly for me.
I have a question see if u may know the answer. So i had the switch since launch and had a sd card in it. Then i got the pokemon special edition switch. Once i put the memory card in the nee system it would not allow it unless its formatted. Luckily my files were on the cloud. But how could i have kept what was on there into the new system?
Back up save files on the cloud and screenshots or videos on your pc. Unlink your account in old system and link it in new one. Then redownload games on new console. There's even a data transfer option but I haven't tested it cause i only have one switch
You talk like $25 was like $1, i mean, good for you! In my country $25 is close to R$100 and it's a lot for something like 1 empty joycon shell with a dpad. As much as i'd love to have that one, it just doesn't feel right, at least for me.
The first accessories I plan on getting is a pro controller screen protector and 2 case's the really big bulky case that holds everything so I can go to my friend's house or something like that then a thin case for when I want to put it away
Do most people use 2 fingers for the shoulder and trigger buttons on controllers? I've always just used my index finger for both (with the exception of certain games). Maybe it's because I grew up with the SNES being the first console I had with triggers and only 2 at that. So maybe I just naturally became accustomed to using just my index fingers.

just don’t use nyko products and you should be fine. the nyko dock and charging cable bricked my switch as soon as i got it

I got silicone skins for $2 a set from China. They have alot of colors and it looks nicer than I thought it would. Bought a set if neon yellow, green and pink. Look on AliExpress and wait for a month and voila!

The satisfye grip changed my life. The nubs for the sticks suck, but the grip itself is amazing.
One useful thing about the keyboard thing is that it keeps the joycons further apart, on a regular grip they're too close and results in hand cramping..
You missed a great accessory for the dock. Look up Switch light shield dock. The Zelda faceplate is 👌
I was thinking of getting that charge stand to go with the satisfye grip, but was concerned due to the rail on the back.

Also when buying a screen protector, I got one that blocks blue light emitted from the screen. I’ve seen a decrease in eye strain and headaches from multiple hours of gameplay from this and would also encourage others to buy also. 👍

I have the Hori 24 games case and the grips are fine you are meant to lever it up from the side. Also the switch cases you got from your first travel case is likely smaller than the Gameboy case.
i know one thing, when that new joycon replacement comes out for handheld mode that looks like someone cut a pro controller in half ill be wanting a switch grip where the joycon section is separate so i can still have protection for the switch, even if ill only be ever using it at home or in the car
I don't think the Hori-cardridgeholder holds on to the cardridges too tight. It is pretty easy to clip them into and get them out of the holder. I'd rather know, my cardridges are fit tight in a holder then let them fly around a misused metal box
As for a protection I actually like the Mumba slim one the most, it doesn't bulk up the system too much and goes well with my small girly hands. It also fits into the first case you've shown (the Zelda one)
While I was a bit skeptical at first, I really like the comfort grips for Nintendo Switch. They honestly feel so much better than the one that comes with the Switch.

12:27 That’s actually very similar to the case I use, the only differences are that the one I use is switch themed instead of Zelda themed and I tend to use the game cart cases that came with it. But aside from that are there any 3rd party docks that you use? (Aside from the one you tried to “build” on stream). And as some one who plays their switch 70% console 30% handheld I’ve been debating on whether or not I should get and external battery are there any that you’d recommend besides what you mentioned in the video or do you think I shouldn’t bother cause I don’t play in handheld mode enough?
Funny you say that because I've got the exact same Switch case that you have sitting just to the right of my computer. I can literally reach forward and touch it as I type this. xD Not a bad case imo, I use the zipper pouch to store the Joycon wrist strap things since trying to use the "triggers" while the controllers are sideways is actually the worst thing ever.
thatquirkyredhead I agree it is a useful case for the switch but I personally never use the joycon attachments because to me they feel cheap and I’m worried I may accidentally put them on the wrong way like most people did back when the switch first came out. (I have seen ways to remove the attachments if they were put on incorrectly but I don’t wanna try it myself)

Hey if you like slim cases for your Switch, get the one I have! Its a very slim hardshell case from TomToc. The red one I have is around $26 on Amazon. Can hold only the Switch and 8 physical game cards. Very slim and offers great protection.
The satisfyre grip seems like a godsend definitely wanna try it out one of these days..

Wait, about the hori pokeball plus stand, what do you mean you have to charge it twice? I just leave the adapter on and drop it in after I'm done, its about as streamlined as it gets. The adapter also helps for when you lose the stick's orientation from rolling it around in your hand.

The Satisfye grip is a god send for my hands. They used to cramp and I just couldn’t get the precision I needed for some platformers. The grip solved all of my issues, it’s easily the best accessory on the market. I also love the Pro Controller and the 8bitdo SF30 Pro as well.

I'm someone who personally prefers a bit of a larger case without being overly bulky. I have the Hestia Goods carrying case. It's thicker as I said, bu the thing is that it's sturdy._ I don't want to take _any_ chances with my system getting damaged, so it's perfect for me. Plus, it works well if I want to carry extra joycons or accessories since it's got such a large carrying area and lets you hold something like 24 games.
The main reason I got it was because I got the starter kit carrying case and, while it works, my main concern is the elastic straps. My joycon sticks got caught on them and so I had to search for a case that didn't have them. Took me awhile but I did and I really couldn't be happier. Sure, it's plain black, but it works perfectly for me.

I have a question see if u may know the answer. So i had the switch since launch and had a sd card in it. Then i got the pokemon special edition switch. Once i put the memory card in the nee system it would not allow it unless its formatted. Luckily my files were on the cloud. But how could i have kept what was on there into the new system?

Back up save files on the cloud and screenshots or videos on your pc. Unlink your account in old system and link it in new one. Then redownload games on new console. There's even a data transfer option but I haven't tested it cause i only have one switch
You talk like $25 was like $1, i mean, good for you! In my country $25 is close to R$100 and it's a lot for something like 1 empty joycon shell with a dpad. As much as i'd love to have that one, it just doesn't feel right, at least for me.
The first accessories I plan on getting is a pro controller screen protector and 2 case's the really big bulky case that holds everything so I can go to my friend's house or something like that then a thin case for when I want to put it away
Do most people use 2 fingers for the shoulder and trigger buttons on controllers? I've always just used my index finger for both (with the exception of certain games).
Maybe it's because I grew up with the SNES being the first console I had with triggers and only 2 at that. So maybe I just naturally became accustomed to using just my index fingers.
I'm getting one this Christmas/boxing day!
