I don’t use monomer usually. But I have used a little bit of to soften the stiffness of new art brushes. Even that little bit made the entire room smell! So if you do your nails with monomer, I would say either do it outside or do it next to an open window.
I'm just seeing this vid now, but if u haven't found any info to reduce monomer odors yet, I have a few tips. First of all, ventilation is key. U want to have as much fresh, circulating air as possible. Open windows and use an exhaust fan to pull air out of the room to the outside and another fan to keep the air moving. Also, invest in a tabletop air purifier. I keep mine aimed toward the open window at my nail desk. Only pour out as much monomer as u need to complete a set. It's better to add more if u need to rather than pour out a large amount. Not only do u save product this way since monomer should be discarded after each set, but u also decrease the amount of liquid that evaporates and disperses through the air. Place saturated paper towels into a ziploc bag until ur completely finished and can move all of the trash outside. And always make sure monomer bottles are tightly closed. If u notice that u can still smell monomer long after cleaning up, or when u haven't used any for several days, check ur bottles and transfer the liquid to an air tight container if needed.
I'm currently using my kitchen table also and clean up afterwards. Looking forward to moving and getting my own space
