Gils is gives me serious Guyver vibes with the wrist blades and their organic transformation(which is cool as the Guyver was a love letter to Toku, Rider in particular). The opening mouth was particularly awesome to see on a Rider.
That Maya is the server from the Den-liner(Not entirely sure if that’s how you spell it) is a trip. Five episodes in the Den-o and that explains why she looked so familiar.
Another reason Gills gave vibes like Guyver is that they're both got treated like monsters. Gills had it worse compared to Guyver though.
I still much prefer for a Rider to actually Henshin into a bio-organic form than to just have powered armor appear on them. No drivers, no devices- it’s who they are, not what they put on.
But that doesn’t sell as many toys.

Pretty sure the Amazon's belts just refine their forms since Omega (I think) didn't have one when he first transformed.
Bio organic rider loses the kamen in their title since kamen mean mask and not to mention kamen rider translate to masked rider, bio organic rider just going to be called kao rider

But sadly Gills/Ashihara Ryo's actor retired due to sexual harrasment scandal.
I missed Gills, and I really like his scream it's very iconic. Because Tomoi Yuusuke-san is the only actor who played Gills/Ashihara Ryo very well and he made Kamen Rider Gills alive especially his angry scream.

A funfact here: Gills being another version of Agito is not a coincidence. The Japanese word for gill is... agito (鰓). Same goes for his ability to open his mouthplace, as the Japanese word for jaw is... also agito (顋).

Because in the SIC Story for Gills, Koji takes Another Agito's Seed and when he henshined it wasn't as imperfect and he was able to unlock Another Agito Burning Form

There’s already another agito in the series but with Zi-O the monsters are called another riders. Do you think they’ll make a new monster or reuse the one they already have and how do you think it’ll affect his seed

Gills couldn’t catch a break in the show. Died twice, took the most L’s, got dumped by his first girlfriend, had two love interests get murdered, lost his father to the El of Water, and was the only Agito who had been hurt by his powers.
But at least he got a puppy in the end.
